  • hey man, look up libertarianism

  • @01:10 "THE POINT OF BUSINESS IS PROFIT! "

You said it yourself, and yet you completely ignore it. It's not about taxation, and rich people don't "give people income" out of the kindness of their hearts, it's because they can make a profit.

  • @17R3W exactly, just the way it should be, companies don't exist to give people income, they exist to make the owners money beyond the salary and benefits of the labor, and overhead. If a company doesn't make profits, it closes, if government doesn't make money at an enterprise, they take more in taxes from the private sector to prop it up. This is how it is, and those owners would never have spent the time or money to start the business, without a return on the investment.

  • @00:54 "Can you do anything without the goverment helping you."

    Okay,

This is what I want you to do. Go to the grocery store and buy some meat without the government helping you.

You may not drive on government roads, walk on government side walks, fly in the Federal regulated sky, and when you get to the grocery store you may not purchase FDA inspected meat, or pay with any sort of government currency.

If you can do that, then I'll get off the entitlement crap.

  • @17R3W That's the point, we have everything in the world controlled by the gov't, when time and again it has been proven that the gov't is the most expensive, ineffective, and inefficient way to do anything. The private sector can regulate meat, conduct air traffic control, etc, as good or better, and less expensively. The fed gov't is trying to do too much, control too much, and not doing what it should, like border security...lol

  • @Federalist306

This comes down to the fundamental difference between Liberals and conservatives; do you want a Government "bureaucrat" who can be fired/ voted out, what have you, or do you want a corporate bureaucrat who doesn't have to answer to the public.

  • @17R3W actually private CEO's have to answer for bad decisions, and can even be thrown in jail, same as government officials, the trouble is, I am from a town near Chicago, and the embedded Democratic socialist government machine that has long stood is nearly impervious to any check by the people, vote tampering, and social engineering have made an almost permanent majority for the Dems, even as corruption, and dangerous conditions have driven many people and businesses out.

  • @Federalist306

The problem with that is that "bad" is a relative term. If save the company a half million dollars by denying some one medical care and end up killing them, that's still seen as a "Good" thing for the bottom line.

  • @17R3W that is a shame, remember the time when a man could go to work, and by himself support a wife and 4 kids, with little or no insurance, what we would all do to go back there. I guess the bottom line is, with the cost of living high, the cost of labor high, and jobs fleeing our shores to find less expensive labor, we are on a collision course with Greece like success.

  • hmm your use of terms are very vague, no offense but liberalism is not socialism. Your arguement about conservatism and liberalism. I think you meant communism. But you're right about the other stuff. This is the vague arguement about ideas. That' s why economics is all about numbers.

  • In a classical sense, "Liberalism" is not socialism, but the bastardisation of language, and Orwellian newspeak have turned the word around, the words "Progressive" and even "Democracy" have been co-opted for communist ends now. It's like the left takes words that are hard to be against, and have a normally positive meaning, and turn them into something disengenous, and confusing. Progress, like progressing toward socialism, democracy, like mob rules, Hope and change mean something else! lol

  • you dont realize how much you benfit from having government funded projects

like building roads, public transportation and hospitals (obviously a lot more stuff here)

you are already getting a lot of handouts tbh

of all the free things you have in your country, how much of it did you personally pay?

you cant expect everything to run smoothly if noones looking out for people who are in trouble

  • yeah and guess what its not the government who pays for that stuff its the working class. FREE THINGS in our country? wtf you talking about nothings free that's what taxes are.

  • im not saying anythings free

but obviously some people contribute more than others which means u are getting things for free basically :)

  • @noldorian86

Exactly, this "free health care" talking point needs to die. It's not free is you pay for it.

Are the roads free? Is the FDA free? Is radio free?

Or do you pay taxes for these things?

  • @noldorian86 we're not convinced that the answer is the working class paying taxes so some other asshole can not work, have all the kids they want while I make a sacrifice to only have one based on what I can afford after all the taxes. The responsible are being punished for the sins of the irresponsible, I don't care how you slice it, that is wrong!

  • Great vid. Having grown up in the Soviet Union, I can testify first hand that you are 100% on the money.

One thing. Rich people don't have to give to charity to be entitled to their money. Their charitable giving is not a justification of their riches. Whether they do or don't give to charity has nothing to do with their right to keep their money. Just wanted to make that clear.

Check out my vids when you have time.

  • I appreciate your way of thinking. My husband and I also have had to bend our pride and take temporary help from Unemployment, Link and a Medical card for my 16 yr son. But we are back on our own since my husband was able to find work at half of what he was earning before. We lost every thing when my husband lost his job. They forclosing on our house in Sept. We don't care. We have each other and for the most part our health, Thank God. We want to stand on our own feet. We can start again.

  • I have had some troubles as well, my work has slowed down to where I am only making about half of my wages as well, God be with you and your family in your time of need and it sounds as though you have your attitudes straight, the important thing is family, and health.

  • Excellent!!!

  • thanks man...gotta get involved on your blog show....cheers!
