Apparently after this advert Honda sales went up by 70% or something, but I know that's the point of an advert but seriously, even though they did a good advert why would you suddenly want to go buy a Honda? As I've said I know that's the point of the advert but at the end of the day you either want a Honda or you don't, regardless of how good the advert is, it really amazes me how advertising works, perhaps I'm just one of these people that isn't easily sold?

When it comes to cars, word of mouth advertising is far more effective in terms of increasing sales. So advertising companies don't aim car adverts at people looking to buy a car - you would naturally spend a good deal of time thinking about what you were gonna £5000+ on. Car adverts are instead aimed at people who have just bought a car, in the hope of reassuring them enough that they reccomend the car they've just bought to a friend.

yeah it was really fun. I was 16 and I do it again every weekend :P. I did the training and got my license etc and am now 17 :) It's alot cheaper once you are qualified (around £20)

it costs the money to do all the training jumps. There are two types of progressing to get your license, RAPS (static line jumps) or AFF. I did AFF because u start straight away going from the full height, where as with RAPS, your parachute deploys immediately and you progressively get higher and more and more freefall. It costs quite a bit of money though. it is definitely still fun on your own, but obviously the initial shock wears off, but as you learn and do new things it gets better.

If you're in Europe then you can start skydiving at 15 in France. My friend did and she did her qualifying jump to get her licence on her 16th birthday in the UK.

This Pilatus Porter crashed 3km from Lillo yesterday.

Unfortunately, the Spanish pilot and a Brazilian member of the team died. Nine skydivers managed to jump clear, four of whom were injured, two seriously. It seems that a wing broke off.

BTW the guy behind the jump is called BJ Worth, Wo I believe inveted the tandem parachute and has been involved with nearly every film skydive since the 60's an amazing guy.
