That may be true, but there's a new Audi with a V-10 engine that will get the same 0-60 but costs a lot more. So the Tesla is actually a bargain.

how much did you think the average 2 seat racing car to cost?

I mean these guys are smart as hell. They knew that this packaging would tell "people" that buy these cars what to expect the price to be. The cheapest I've seen - accounting for real performance - was around 110k, i think from porche.
