i'm actually glad for conor for overcoming his demons. he was so full of angst and sadness during his teenage years. Even though it made for a mass of amazing songs from Bright eyes, i'm glad he's over it. He probably would've ended up killing himself :( and that would've been a tragedy. now he continues with what he's got. i think it's great. But i'll always miss what Bright eyes was. Maybe some day another angst filled teenager will come along and blow our minds like Conor did.

conor is older now, he's not an emotional, angst filled teenager anymore, and to me that's what bright eyes was. So Bright eyes is dead, in a way, he can't bring it back if he tried. This just sounds like his solo work with the BE name slapped on it. This isn't bright eyes like i remember. He's still good as his solo bands though. Just not good like Bright Eyes was.

When I first listened to this I was like, "yes! old Conor sound."

But when I listened to the lyrics, I realized that, though this might sound like the older Conor songs, he's grown as a person.

I consider Conor Oberst the next Bob Dylan.
