Dolphin skin is extremely delicate and easily injured. Unlike humans, its outer layer is made up entirely of live cells and therefore has no protection to bumps or bruises. At the very least the 'hoser' could have used a nozzle to water the dolphins with a fine spray.
Though I really hate the environment of the place for these dolphins at least they are not getting slaughtered at Taiji... but these dolphins will be okay as long as the sun is not exposed to their sensitive skin and the place kept cool. These dolphins are adorable, they need to be back into the ocean where they belong.
This is terribly cruel! If they dont get them back in water soon they will die!!! Its not a case of their skin having to be wet its the case where the own body weight will squash their organs if they are not in water!!! PEOPLE I AM ASHAMED TO CALL MYSELF ONE!!!
They could just let the tank rot and fill with bacteria and pose an even greater threat to the dolphins and whales, they can last without water for a while you know, besides, I'm quite sure they were hosed down frequently.

This is awful.. how can they do this. I thought seaworld was bad enough but this... good god.
Someone should do something about this, this is dreadful.
