CGI for an example are the cinematics that come out before each world of warcraft exansion. Same goes for the cool tv spot that came out for StarCraft 2. Another example would be the Avatar movie.

Second, CGI stands for computer-generated imagery. This includes real-time computer graphics (which is included in this video) and pre-rendered (which is what you think cgi is)
