  • i like the logo keep it

  • so sad that the boeing 757 will be retierd from ur fleet an ICONIC plane indeed, on the other hand if u r going to upgrade the fleet don´t forget to UPGRADE THE SERVICE...

  • i dont wanna hate but i thought this company filed for bankruptcy

  • I think you should have gotten more 737 in my OPINION . so people don't start getting in a fight with me

  • Good job AA. Looking forward to this. I just have one note... please DO NOT change your livery. The ICONIC AA eagle logo, AA on the tail and the red, white and blue still makes me proud to fly on. Your logo is like a fine wine, just gets better with age.

Pure class Jim...saluting your competitor. Pure absolute class and professionalism.

  • AmericanAirlines treats their customers and employees like crap! Just ask anyone of the workers since receiving a paycut in 2003 with no snap back at all since then. American broadcasts the company as a strong airline.... but compared to others they are crap ola.

  • Please Don't Retire Your 757s :(

  • READ HORROR STORIES ABOUT THIS AIRLINE, DO A SEARCH ON FACE BOOK AND TYPE IN SHAME ON YOU , DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE! THE WORSE !

  • TYPE " SHAME ON YOU" AND YOU'LL READ OTHERS HORRIFIC EXPERIENCES WITH THIS 2 BIT AIRLINE. DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE! BAD SERVICE, COLD AND UNCARING AND OLD STEWARDESS'S. DID THE WRONG THING BY MANY, TYPE " SHAME ON YOU" ON YOUR FACEBOOK ACCT.

  • @yourstruelyt We're sorry if we've disappointed you in some regard along the way. Is there something in particular we can address for you?

  • I so happy that american airlines are going to get more airplane! I hope that the new airbus has some awesome engine sound! good job american! :D

  • @allenspedface32 Old birds are going to retire anyway. AA would replace with A321 NEO which is just recently announced.

  • I'm proud that you ordered Airbus. :)!

  • It was about time they replace their MD80's, but are they also replace the 757 since it is a narrow body?

  • This will allow AA to retire the McDonnell Douglas MD-80's. I am a Senior Captain flying for AA virtual.net,and i love the MD-80!...

While AA is buying Airbus planes,i dont care for any of the Airbus aircraft, and i wont fly them "virtually"...

I'm a Boeing fan,and have been since flying on the 1st delivered United 737-200 back in 1969...

    Long Live the MD-80

  • That awkward moment when AA orders Airbus... Not sure how the pilots will feel about flying simulators around.

  • How in the world can this guy say with a straight face they have always done right by their shareholders? They have screwed them in every possible way other than bankruptcy. Oh wait, even with that the shareholders would be better off because the unions wouldn't have AA in a stranglehold. Gereard needs to stop taking the alleged moral high ground by not declaring bankruptcy so the airline can be on a level playing field with the other airlines and they can make a profit for once.

  • I am an american who loves Boeing but Airbus happens to put out a great product and anything that can help my beloved airline I have no problem against it. Plus this could lead to new destinations with fuel costs and such.

  • Noooooo I love Boeing :(

  • With such number of order, there is no way Boeing will be able to deliver on time of 460 narrow bodies. with Airbus, AA will hit their plan 2020 on time by 2025. At list its only the A320, AA still committed with the 777-300ER and 787s Boeing

  • Good job "AMERICAN" Airlines

  • @wowdude999 stop being a bitch. They need their planes soon, and Boeing can't drop all their other customers to deliver the AA planes. Also, Boeing's indecision on the 737 lead AA to Airbus for their narrow body fleet. Boeing came up with their reengined 737 at the last moment. Boeing was lucky as hell to get any orders. Also, playing the two manufacturers against each other they to way better deals. Oh, and the 737 doesn't have a good replacement for the 757, but airbus does.

  • @qwerty112311 Wtf are you talking about AB having better 757 replacements? What does? The 321NEO? No it wont, the 739ER is the best suitable 757 replacement for international service, but not TATL service. I agree with you on Boeings last decision to finally spew out ideas for a next next gen 737....

  • @wowdude999 In this case, AA selected A321 NEO for high density seats and range. Well they already made decision and that draw the conclusion.

  • @Chris58851 They selected the 320NEO....

  • @wowdude999 They have flexible option from Airbus to switch over several A320 model which include A318, A319 and A321. So they won't just operate on one model.

  • @Chris58851 Doesn't mean they will select the 321, it just means they can.

  • @wowdude999 AMR was just stated that they are taking A320NEO and A320 family and does not disclose which type of model they would order yet. There is possibilities that they would operate different model in A320's fleet.

  • @Chris58851 okay, I didnt watch the whole video. But ill have to take your word.

  • Come on American Airbus? Really? You airline name should have given you a hint to buy Boeing planes only!

  • @abcd1to What a moronic comment. So American can't be called American unless they buy planes built in the U.S.? Ever heard of this thing called the free market? Or does that only count when it's about other countries buying American products?

Should Air France change its name because they operate one of the largest 777 fleets in the world? Should British Airways drop the 'British' in its name because they have the world's largest 747-400 fleet?

  • @Smoznizjev yeah ur right

  • @abcd1to Proof that you sir are a redneck.

  • I am truly boggled by this, why Airbus? You are an American Airlines it should be your duty to uphold a truly remarkable name!

  • @HDMSFlight no they have a choice they use to use a300 and they liked those plane but it got old now the want a huge fleet and it makes sense that they have a choice not chosen by their name alone

  • @HDMSFlight AA flew A300s in the past, as well as Fokker 100s (Dutch), BAC one-Elevens (British), and still flies hundreds of Canadian and Brazilian regional jets. It's called the free market, you should read up on it. AA should buy what is best for them, not whatever Boeing happens to be building. Same as everybody else. Air France isn't any less French because they have one of the world's largest Boeing 777 fleets, is it?
