the keytar is one of those instruments you don't use for an entire gig..it goes over great as long as you don't overuse it, and pick the rights songs for it.

in response to your video info about buying a keytar, the model before the ax-7 I thought was the ax-1...it's basically the same as the ax-7 but without the LED screen. maybe a few other minor differences... I have it and use it in my video.

I got mine for like 400 but that was right before the AX-7 aws discontinued..they probably have gone up now..

I don't think so at least compared to a normal keyboard... actually your right hand will be in better position compared to playing in a "normal" way... of course you'll have to learn to use the left hand controllers but I think they are pretty easy to learn too...

From what I've been hearing it's going to around $1100 and maybe a little less if you go through Guitar Center or Musicians Friend... maybe $1000ish... But hey it will still be sweet!

Thanks man, that's cool. So another question, what do you think about the new version of the AX series? Personally I've been debating about it because they seem more user friendly than the AX-7s but they look a little bit more awkward to hold on to.

It looks cool to me..I like it, but I don't think I'm going to upgrade to it. I like the AX 7 fine..it's really a matter of personal taste, and also, if it has features that the ax7 doesn't have that you may use.
