This sounds so beautiful but I don't know what she is saying. Anyone who can tell me. I know I am asking for a big favor but if there is anyone out there who would be so kind.I would greatly appreciate it.
@WickersPoet One time I asked if someone would translate an Abida Parveen Ghazal and some one actually did. It was BEAUTIFUL and I have become friends with the wonderful Pakistani woman who translated it for me.
I wouldn't bother her now about this since Pakistan is suffering so much from the floods.
I wish I could feel confident that I could learn Urdu and then I wouldn't have to ask other people for translations but I can't seem to figure out how to learn it. It goes in and then falls out.
@MrJefe29 Oh my, that would be terrible if I learned the wrong language by accident. Wikipedia says she performs ancient Persian and Punjabi Ghazals. Wouldn't that be Urdu? Maybe we are both wrong.
I will just have to enjoy the sound which seems goes right into my heart but brings tears to my eyes.
@prisha91755 no it won't be terrible because hindi and urdu r same just differrence of some words which r persian,nd i am a indian punjabi u cn ask me anything abt punjabi!!
@MrJefe29 Sir, if you speak Punjabi would you also know how to speak Hindi?
I have to say, that I am very impressed with India since they speak so many languages and yet they are able to hold together as one country. I would have thought India would have been more like Europe where each group of people with the same language formed into separate countries.
Here in the US we are forces to all speak English even though we come from all the countries of the world.
@prisha91755 since hindi and english r official languages, so i cn speak hindi, bt south indian don't speak hindi, yea and its true dat indian states r lyk europian union countries every state has its own language, culture, food, temperature , economy, nd d whoel indian race is divided into two north indians r aryans and south indian r dravidians we r entirely differrent from each other, when i talk wid my frnds its lyk i will talk in punajbi nd they will talk in hindi bt we manage to understan
This is magical. Spell binding. She is truly blessed.

I am SO glad I discovered this woman from listening to an interview with her on WNYC's Soundstage program.
The whole band is great and I love her voice and the intelligence of her lyrical poems......
It seems Major chorded American music just doesn't do it for me anymore once discovering all the rest of the great music the world has to offer.

This is incredibly beautiful, like listening to the language of the human heart in one of its purest forms.

@prisha91755 It is easier for you to learn Urdu than to translate this Ghazal, lol.
