@varmet6: There was like a handful of Spitfire Mk.Vb fighters available to them in 1942 on the Cuban peninsula area (black sea) so they were not at all a frequent sight. I think Günther Rall bumped into one of these and shot it down.

Everyone keeps talking about the 109s as if they were real players. IL 2 may have good AI, but they are far from the skill level of a good, live opponent. Anyone who hasnt played real online opponents will get a rude awakening. I personally think the best on the internet play in Aces High 2, but IL2 has it's own challenges and is a great simulator. But for massive dogfights with real players you cant beat Aces High 2.

at 5:50 the 109 was screwed , a 109 pilot it should have keep climping instead it let you come over top of it which was what you were wanting to do

Careful there "ace", You shouldnt brag too much about beating a bunch of AI drones. The real test is playing real opponents. I suggest anyone that feals he has the right stuff, play Aces High 2 online. At present, AI cannot give you as much of a challenge as a real player.

ahmuzik, who the hell cares about what you think? Why not play as an ace vs AI? And Aces High 2 is bullshit, it can't even reach the small finger of IL-2. The online community of IL-2 is unbeatable.

Like everyone I can post my opinion and not care what morons like you think. And I did play against ace level AI in IL2. generally 5 at a time because it was no challenge with less. As for IL2, Im not going to bash here, but it needs work. The P38 had 5 flap settings not 3 like almost every plane in IL2. Just one example. And if you feel so unbeatable, come to Aces High to find me. It will take only 10 minutes of your 2 week free trial to learn different.
