  • lol. that was pretty good, but you were missing his use of whip pans.

  • Is Jordan Baker a reference to the Great Gatsby?

  • That was good but i think you captured less his overall style and more simply The Royal Tenenbaums. His style pertains to more character styles and his trademark shots such as the room-to-room dolly. I would've included more elements from Rushmore and The Darjeeling Limited.

  • Nice!

  • Excellently done! Hope you got a SSS.

  • haha that was excellent!! good job buddy!

  • that's not the same futura font as Mr Anderson uses

  • yes it is, it just has different kerning (spacing between letters) also wes anderson alternates between futura medium and futura medium bold depending on what's being written.

  • Whoa, its good! Maybe a bit too much reminds of Royal Tenenbaums, but generally its great. Would love to see such movie.

And I think there should be more filmmakers like Wes. So congrats, I like it!

  • I'd see this

  • LOVE walking with the carpet! good luck!

  • anyone know what song plays at 0:46? much appreaciated

  • @resevoirdog88 Autumn Almanac by the Kinks :)

  • I dig.

    Nice job

  • wes anderson do love to center his subject :)

    good job.

  • yeah not too bad man, it seems like more of a wes anderson edited trailer than an actual wes anderson movie its self, if you get what i mean.. anyway forget about my yapping and keep up the film making!! 7/10 x

  • I liked it

  • this is more of a "royal tenenbaums" spoof than a wes anderson general style experiment.

  • 'Fuckin' A', is appropriate I believe.

  • great job!

  • Nailed it. Well done.

  • A. Fuck You, I saw this and thought it was real and got real excited.

    B. I would see this movie, Wes Anderson or not.

  • Dude this was excellent. I actually want to see this movie now. What sort of camera did you shoot this with? What's the name of the font Anderson uses, I forgot.

  • Futura

  • good work !!

  • visually it was a great emulation! symmetrical scenery, 'shadowbox' detail (w/ the ashes), dysfunction familial unit reuniting, teethbrushing - it was very recognizable as his style. especially nice touch - portrait scene. the only thing that broke the pace - puke scene (would have loved to have seen more green wall) & when her hair blew into her face. it felt too un-deliberate, if ya know what i mean.

  • good feedback but, like you say, i doubt he'll think too much about it, 'if ya know what i mean'.

  • Not bad.

Don't think I could do any better.

  • nah, wes anderson would throw up, you cheesy basterds, you dont understand him

  • It's low budget and thin on 'plot', but it IS 'Wes Anderson-ish'. If that's all you set out to do, then you did it.

  • nice work, really was a nice little spinoff

  • Nice take on The Royal Tenenbaums. To be able to do 'quirky' without going into 'zany' is a tricky line to walk, but you got it.

See? This is what I've been telling you. I might be in Chicago learning, but you're actually DOING stuff, which is way cooler.

....plus you can grow a full beard....not that I'm jealous or anything....
