Colby is known as the "Oasis on the Plains", very fitting for such a nice town (I used to live there) . But no, there are no palm trees.

That and a lot of people think they can tell how strong a tornado is by looking at it. An EF2 wind scale tornado that does EF0 damage is classified as an EF0.

Most tornadoes are very short, small, and weak, because you need circumstances in the atmosphere that are VERY, VERY rare. This tornado lasted about 10-12 minutes, which is about your average length of time.
