omg im 13 and i love knitting iv just finished doing 11 scarves for my family and friends but i had no idea hot to cast off and this has really helped
thank you so very much for going slow and really showing me and others how to cast off. I have made any items but never could finsih them right!!! thanks !!!
the five people that disliked it cant even get the kiniting part :) this is a awesome video and the frist one i watched.....i am 13 and i love kniting :)
YAAAAY I finished it! :D Been knitting away at this scarf since December, slowly. It's the first thing I've ever knitted. Just in time for the release of the final Harry Potter film! It's a Gryffindor scarf, hehe.
Thank you!!! I have been knitting and knitting but no idea how to end it and nobody I know knew how to end it. I though I was screwed! Thank you so much! No I can be warm! lol :)
Thanks so much...knit, knit, knit, knit, knit but I didn't know how to stop......now I can finally wear my scarf.........hooray, many thanks!!!...............xxx
hellon Im serenyti known for crocheting but had ta come over & say hi . i love crocheting but now i have taken an interest in knitting as well, how ever it just seems as though it takes more patients i dunno maybe ! any way you have nice hands too.=)
I bought myself a "How to Knit" book but the writer conveniently left off how to cast off... your video was easy to understand and very helpful. Thank you so much!
How is Bind off different from Cast off? I am making a pidge scarf and the pattern gives both these directions. Please demonstrate. Will be very helpful. Thanks
Thank you!! Thank you!!! I spent a long time making my first scarf and then realized that I had no idea how to cast off. Finally, it is done now!! Thanks! :)
i already know how to cast off but i wanted to know if i was doing anything thing wrong because i lost a knitting book that i have, so i watched your video, it turns out im not but why dont you just use the the other needle to bring the the stitch over instead of your hand? however your video was great!
Thank you, thank you, I learned to knit when I was little, then I taught my little one to knit, she is finishing her first piece but I couldn't remember how to cast off. Thanks a ton.
this is an awesome movie i was trying to make a scarf for my aunt's baby and i didn't know how to finish it off. This help me on finishing the scarf on time. Thanks for uploading.
A big thanks from me as well. I learned to knit endless rows as a kid but never learned to cast off. I might attempt a scarf now. Hey how many scarfs should one knit before moving onto something else? And what would the next project be?
I have the cast on and knit stcih down right but the furthur i go with the knitting it keep getting wider and wider,,what ma i doing wrong? this scarf is gonna be a triangle by the time im done unless i crorect whateve rIm gonig wrong.
It sounds like you are picking up an extra thread by inserting your right needle a bit too low(so when you go back to knit the next row, you have one more loop to knit) I caught myself doing this with my own 'triangle scarf' :) Good Luck!
you need a tapestry needle. what you do is you take your end and put it through the eye of your needle. its gonna be like sewing, you just go through the backs of your stitches that youve made for about an inch then you can just cut of the extra.
Thank you so much! I had a scarf lying around for the longest time because I didn't know how to cast off. And you demonstrated it so easily :)
