hi Stewart. i don't always think a uke is the appropriate instrument for every song, but this one actually is. i can't even imagine a guitar being used instead. i think it has something to do with the thoughtful lyrics played against the jaunty beat of the uke. reaches a satisfying balance of sound. well conceived, well written, well performed, as always. be well friend, chuck.
@chuxtrux - Chuck The uke is just another instrument and in the right hands is capable of all sorts of depth and pathos, light and shade. Sadly my hands are not the right ones! Thanks as always for the compliments and encouragement. Going to work on light and shade - but need to improve a lot!
