The fan wiring wasn't the greatest. I ended up connecting the main fans into the central fan controller unit. It works fine, but if you wanted to more individually adjustments you would need to buy a separate fan controller unit. The stock one works fine for my setup after I did some rewiring.
It's not too loud. Depending on how you hook the fans up you can turn down all fans with the knob up top. You can turn them down so they are hardly audible or crank them up so they are really loud. It all depends on your setup and how much air you need to move to make your system cooler. If you have an overclocked CPU etc. Since I lowered my voltage do below stock it makes my CPU run even cooler than stock, so my fans are audible but it's not very loud.
I think you will be ok with a 120mm fan no problem. The 200mm might not fit, but I'm not sure. There is already an included 200mm fan at the top of the case so you could see if that one fits before you buy one. The sides of the case flair out so you have lots more room than almost all other cases.
Hi nughaud, I'm planning to get the same cpu cooler and case, and I'm planning to install a 200mm side fan (about 30mm thick); I was wondering if it will interfere with the cpu cooler. If it does, will a single 120mm fan mounted at the lower region of the side panel still intefere with the cooler?
Very true it is not a very fast GPU. I am not a gamer per say and I wanted an above average card that utilized very little power. I want to say it only uses between 40-80 watts of power and never any more. The video card draws all the power from the PCI-E slot and does not need additional power to run it.
If I need to upgrade anything it would be the GPU and I would spend more like $150+ on it.
Then ur PC is very fast (not for games) and very quiet. I just buy a Cooler Master Sniper Case with Asus Rampage 2 extreme Motherboard and i7 920 CPU Processor Cooling ASUS TRITON 81 6GB CORSAIR XMS3 1600MHz GEFORCE GTX295 and 800W Quiet Quad Rail PSU I think ours PCs are fast enough for something xd And thank u for the information.
hey nice build i have: UD4P i7 920 Antec CP-850 Antec P183 Zalman 9900 LED I was just wondering whats the difference wif the two sata ports (BLUE AND WHITE) is it just raid coz i got all of my hds in blue and optical drive in blue? :S I havent completed my build yet im waiting on my ram and gfx card thanx Waiting on GTS250 g skill ram ddr3 1333
The difference is the Blue can do Raid 0,1,5,10 and the White can only do 0,1 and JBOD. So you would use the Blue say for 5 drive Raid 5 and the 2 white for Raid 0 or 1 for speed or redundancy.
Thx, The temps will Real Temp 3.00 at idle are just around 50ºC and at Full Load they are just under 80ºC.
Using Real Temp or Core Temp will give you much higher temps as they are supposed to be on the core while SpeedFan temps are outside the core and are about 15ºC lower. So with SpeedFan I would be right at 35ºC and around 65ºC full load.
Even Real Temp and Core Temp can be off as it's just an estimate but a guage non the less.
Thanks, This was the first video I have ever done. It's nothing great and I used a Canon camera to record the video. I was able to get the 920 chip overclocked to 3.67 GHz at 1.18v but running at 1.15v with ram overclocked to DDR3 1632 and the timings to 7-7-7-18. I had to set the voltage at 1.66 for the DRAM. I could to a higher speed but my ram timings would increase. My scores on Everest were higher than most stock chips to include the i7 965, but some scores weren't #1.
please tell me total price

how is the fan controller on your system is it good or worth buying an extra fan controller for the pc

Hey nughaud
Nice Setup, sweet rig.
I would like to know what temperature you're getting at idle, and full load running prime 95 for all 4 core. i use Realtemp to gauge my temperatures.
