@LordDeathkeeper Well, you can decombine, use the attacks of Rai/Vulking, and then become GtG again. So there's really no loss.

@Netmonmatt Well, what I mean is that you can only choose so many mechs at the start of a battle. To make a comparison, in OG, if SRX wasn't as amazing as it is, it wouldn't be worth using the team, because R-3 and R-2 are only half decent as normal units, and therefore would be a waste of 2 valuable slots. After all, I've got to choose between all these Gundams and Zoids and Godannars and all these series along with Gaiking

@LordDeathkeeper Well yeah, I can see that. The thing is, both Raiking and Vulking are easily on the level of normal Gaiking in terms of Armor, EN, Attacks, et al, with the bonus that the EN and HP they use don't hurt GtG's HP/EN at all. On top of this, you can keep GtG combined, and the squaddies that Rai/Vulking leav ebehind can now run around and combo attack things. It's very flexible and ridiculously powerful.

Interesting... Gaiking the Great has similar abilities to Mazinkaiser. His rocket punches look like the Turbo Smasher Punch... And his final Dynamic Kill attack looks like a mix of Fire Blaster and Kaiser Nova, with a similar ending showing Gaiking flying towards the viewer.

Yeah, Gaiking ZA GUREATO is scuppered slightly by the fact that he's composed of three units that are perfectly good on their own AND consumes EN like a pig, but sometimes I just NEED THAT TUNE.

To be honest, I couldn't really find any reason to dislike him in the show, mainly because its really hard to look for flaws when you are watching something so damn epic. And yeah, I have been listening to Akira Kushida's awesome voice for over a week.

Shin Getter has been in a lot of SRWs, and Black Getter was in a few as well. There was at least one Sentai mecha in Super Tokusatsu War 2001, also by Banpresto.

Not sure about TTGL, Konami does have the license to make TTGL-related video games, not knowing the terms of the contract I don't know how possible/impossible it is for Banpresto to also get the license.

I love this thing. MASSIVE HP and armor. Most enemies only do 500 damage to it, even bosses only muster about 2500 max.

So accurate to the source material in other words? I don't think the Great ever took substantial damage any time in the series, it got knocked around a lot in it's final battle but it held up pretty much completely intact.

Yeah, when performing Burning Death Storm, see the kanas for it. It says "Desutohmu", so it seems that "Desu" (Death) and "Sutohmu" (Storm) are mixmatched together in this pronunciation.
