Cambodia to fight the Communist Viet Cunts.He didn't support our troops,he put in his pocket in the Chinks' banks.Now he is going to die soon of old age & he passes his title to his son Sihamoni(que)and some moneys too.He is not a king(someone said a prince). To me, he is not even a prince,he is a prime minister,but the poors just gave him a title: the King.Someone goes to wake him up, don't let him rest in the bed, plzzzzzzz.&tell him the Chinks told him to SUPPORT the Congs(the Cunts)again.

He has more money than Thaksin of Thailand, Sihanouk lives in China 1/3 of his life. All the money he stole from Cambodia nation are in his BANK in China. He knows some day he is going to die so he passes his title to his son Sihamoni. He was w/ Pol Pot when Pol Pot was in Power. Sihanouk killed 480 school teachers in the '60. He always listens to China (the Chinks) when Chinks told him to support Viet Cunts & he did it. Most or all of the songs were written by the king himself, the actors were played by the king himself and his wife, then princess Monique. Beside the dancers and singers and orchestra, the rest were actors, which played by read people (not real actors), mostly the king's relative and friends and collegues.

i love the songs. i come from cambodian/laos parents. and i know nothing of my culture or my nationality. im pretty much americanized to the fullest. watching these video's makes me want to learn more of cambodia's history. all i've learned about in world history is the communist leader and the regime.if only if there's more khmer out there that talks and educate us with our enriching culture but i guess after khmer's own holocaust, no one wants to talk about it.

@khmer500jeat What a coincident, I used to live in Koup Nimth when I was young in 1974 but I'm Cambodian. I remembered there was a lot of Laotian nationality lived there. Many of them married Cambodian and their kids became Khmer-Lao.

I am not Khmer, I am from Europe now in USA but I love Khmer culture, call me crazy but I think in my past life I was Khmer I so deeply believe in this that I am going to Cambodia at the end of this month to marry a Khmer girl I have never met I just have this weird feeling that overcomes me when I hear traditional Khmer music and see videos like these six that you have posted. I might not understand what the words mean but my feelings substitute. Thanks for sharing these with us.

These guys are very educated. They graduate from Sala Vichea Lay Vichet Selpak of Kingdom of Cambodia. The orchestra perform at the Mohorsrop, Phnom Penh. The Pianist, Dr. Mom Bophany.

Professor Nuon Kan was the starter of all Khmer Selpak. His love for Selpak cost him his life in 2002 by his own hand. But he left a letter after his death.

The letter was painful to read. The meaning was beyond any Khmer could bear.
