I dont know what i did but right at the mp joint on the inside of the hand it hurts, but only when i bowl, I dont know if its because i bowl so much it just makes it sore or what.
i torn a ligament in the cmc area it has been like that for almost a year but it only hurts if i move it too far im not sure if it recovers or if it needs surgery
can a thumb injury cause pain to go up to my shoulder? I slammed, (accidentally) my hand into the floor with a great ammount of pressure with my hand in a thumbs down kind of position, yet only the side of my thumb hit the floor. Now have large bump on the outside of the bottom knuckle of my thumb. Move OK, but hurts to strain or apply force & also have sharp pain in my shoulder now? Im 700Klm from a Dr., not sure if it worth the trip?
i have pain in the RCL area and have had pain in that area for two weeks. I don't have any problems with grasping things, but my thumb is a little unstable. I had an x-ray done, but not once did they do a stress test on me, they told me nothing was wrong with it and to go home. Do you think i should get it checked out somewhere else?
I've had pain in my thumb for over a month. I know something small is torn. I cannot use my left thumb to carry even light objects. Thanks for this vid! I'm gonna go see a doctor now.
I'm a basketball player and I have had an issue for quite a while. I've have gotten this issue with my thumb checked before and went into a cast for six months, twice. The problem with my thumb was that I had a ruptured volar plate and two torn ligaments. The cast is the only thing they said would fix it. Instead of jamming my thumb this what happens to it. The doctors have said that you can have surgery for this type of injury. I'm 15, what should I do having it for 4 to 5 years now?

When i move my thumb side to side something inside the mp joint pops. is that normal? and alot of my pain is when moving the thumb up while holding the mpj joint. do you have any ideas as to what this injury could be?
I've developed a popping in the IP on my hand to the point where it is now audible. Throughout the day it does seem to nearly stop but then when I wake up it's worse. No pain and no pressure in any direction makes it better or worse. The only thing I can think of is that I don't use this thumb when typing so it is always kind of tucked under my hand then (so I can see what I type.
Any ideas? If this post doesn't belong here feel free to ignore or let me know and I'll remove it.
My pain is between the IP and the MP. I think the pain is in the EPL. None one of the motions you describe cause pain. It is more of a constant, nagging pain. Any clue as to my condition?

sorry for the late reply, you are probably healed by now!
hmmm, if there is no fracture, then it could be the EPL, like you said, or a bone bruise. Sometimes there is no concrete explanation!
