So it didnt work for me. I have a 3g and I get as far as getting to dfu mode, itunes saying i have to restore, holding down shift and restore, putting in the snowbreeze tool i created. It doesn't get thru the process of restoring. I get an error message saying itunes cant restore. Before I even get to "recovery mode". I am going to try rebooting my phone before I try again tomorrow. Any other ideas??

I completed the snowbreeze ipsw build (iPhone 3Gs) and did the iTunes restore. Got a 1600 error (thinkthat was the number) so used iREB to get iTunes to do the restore, verify, etc.

Now when I plug in phone it isn't recognized by iTunes and the phone just displays the "plug into iTunes screen" with the only option is to make emergency call.

How do I get my phone back. Do I rerun Snowbreeze or what?

ok, i'm not sure if this problem has already been verified but here's my issue, I went through everything and made sure that i was in DFU mode, not recovery mode and tried to restore to the custom ipsw i made through snowbreeze. BUT, iTunes gave me a error saying restore could not performed (i rephrased cause i forgot what it said exactly) and the only thing i could there is either restore to the original firmware or exit recovery mode... So, pls help me!
