wow, the AC was sure taking it easy on that take off....kinda like a sunday stroll down the runway. I always seemed to like a TRT. I hope for certain the DOD goes with a 777 airframe and not the 767 for the next generation tanker. At least we still have the KC-10's.

C-17s are transport airplanes, not refuelers. USAF is in the process of buying new refuelers (joint effort between European and American factories). Thank you for your interest!

When taking off on 15, the flight path takes them right over Wal-Mart. Wonder if they dropped in?

Slight correction Sarge: t/o on rwy 15 takes us over Tanger Outlet, whereas taking off from rwy 03 gets the bird right over Wal-Mart.

thanks c-17s are transports and aren't they another type of refueler plane like KC-135 or am i mixing it up with another jet?
