  • so whats the diffrence between using this and normal maps? is this better?

  • they are pretty much the same thing but a normal map is like an upgrade of this... bump maps move the surface across only one axis (the face normal) while a normal map uses the Red,Blue and green values of the pixels to move the surface in 3 axis

    and if someone wonders how to get color to there bumpt textuer, just press down the "col" button beside the "nor" button :D (if the texture got color that is) :)

  • no to do that you need to add the 2 textures and then add patches of alpha to them to make them blend into each other.

  • hmm... I'll try sort something out when I get home I have never actually done that before so I'll need to do some testing. I'll give it a go tho.

  • well texture paint works awesome for that sorta thing its always what i use for terrain

  • volume was fine for me, awesome tut have been looking for a clear and simple one for ages

  • too loud or too quite? my computers really loud so my volume settings are abit screwy.
