  • 4:29 I jumped out of my chair when he swinged that shaft!

  • Fellas... he was beaten in 2007 and 2009 by a guy that was like 5'8" and under 200lbs...

  • yes and how many steroids have you taken???

  • hes massive thats already an advantage, way more torque

  • tip 1. steriods

  • he's on the same steroids as manny pacquiao!

  • Excellent advice- overspeed training, bilateral training. Most folks won't be patient enough to try this for a mo th but if they do, they gain distance for sure.

  • 1st shot a shank Fail!

  • Did they just pick a tiny reporter, or.. ?

  • How tall is he? Any enchance supplies that gave him buff on his forearm? Did he spend time in gym and practice golfing?

  • @Cougman1978 6'8". no hes not on steroids he just does work out a lot. hes my daddy i should know

  • @Cougman1978 6'8". no hes not on steroids he just does work out a lot. hes my daddy i should know. he used to be a personal trainer too so that helps

  • 7:10 = Richard Simmons

  • 1:54 = worst joke ever

  • MIKE SMASH!!!

  • Hey, people. This man is not asking for your money nor for your life. He is just telling you how he does it. Now if you know a better way, then use it. What can criticism do for you if the truth is what your eyes see. Just jellousy

  • Awesome, perfect, WOW!!!

  • this guy is the shittest tip-giver in the world. what specific tips did he give? he summed up his video with 'work on your power, speed, balance, flexibility'.

thats like telling someone with depression to work on their happiness and jolliness

  • @bigboyrichbitch you are completely right. Fitness, flexibility, and practice have nothing to do with it. I'm going to give you the REAL secret to how to hit it far. First you hold your hand with the palm toward the sky, keeping your fingers aligned. Next touch your thumb to your index finger. Then starting just below belt level motioning upward at a 45 degree angle no more than 3-4 inches, then back down to the starting position. This must be done in plain view of others, or it won't work.

  • @alfawoof LMFAO... Thats the best tip on youtube..

  • i got better tip look up dan shauger great teaches i had lesson with dan now hit golf ball straight down line now thank to dan

  • i got a better tip, its called steroids

  • bet his kids hate gettin whoopins from him

  • 4:30, imagine that hitting you....

  • that guy woud have a black mans dick

  • Why don't we see long drive champions on the PGA tour? And don't tell me because they can't control their drives. They could swing slower and control a 390 yard drive with practice.

  • Yes he's very impressive, but come on guys it's not like he hits 551 every shot. He hit 551 ONE time for the record. He competes in the Remax long drive competion and that record is nowhere close to that. After on watching these videos most balls don't even go over 400 yrds.

  • @6:36 he has a big shoulder turn. Look at the impact position: looks like me at impact. I am not 7ft & three bills, but this swing is not ideal. I am very sorry Mr. Dobbyn, I would rather be in the short grass @ 275 not in the 13th fairway 400 down.

  • Dam!!!!!!!!!! And I thought I was the big deal. I'm 6'5" and 269lbs (Of muscle) and hit the ball roughly 380 yrds. When my friend told me to watch this, this just blew away my goals. He hits it about 200 more yards than me... Thats just not right

  • @imwrittingmyname your stupid

  • Good lord I never realized he was that big until I saw him standing next to another dude. He could pulverize Jamie Sadlowski, but Jamie wins.

  • oiger

  • Yea iBuckFush, you post a video of yourself with a swing speed of 180 miles per hour and we'll see how hard you are breathing. Yea, that's not going to happen with your 85 mph 175 yard drives... Stop hating dude.

  • hes only 300 lbs?

  • ROFL hes built like an horse!!

  • I've known MIke for a long time. He's actually in great shape cardio wise (look how lean he is). Mike has been a personal trainer in the past, and he knows how to train the body. When you carry so much muscle, you fatigue much faster, no matter how good your cardio is.

  • @coryleeper yeah you can hear he is winded by his last demonstration

  • Needs to work on his cardio. I know you don't need for long drive but he's puffing the whole way through it.

  • wonder what the scoring average is for these guys

  • that guy is HUGE!

  • The fact hes about 7 foot and built like a brick shithouse probably helps

  • @stevecole78 Jamie Sadlowski is 5"11 and not so brickish yet still hits over 400 yds it's the speed that really anyone can generate have to strengthen back and abs to get it further. Height only helps the length so he might make 5mph more than a foot shorter person.

  • @stevecole78 nah, i doubt that

  • @stevecole78 yeh i rekon hey....

  • @stevecole78 6 foot 8. good try though.

  • an absolute crushed golf ball , how does the ball not explode

  • bow to you cince..BOW TO YOUR CINCE!

  • I'd like to see some of the things people say here to his face and see what happens.

  • 4:30.....you wouldn't want that on your ass now, would you? LOL!!!!!!

  • @martinavizcomm Quality

  • hey me and mike have the same weight/ distance ratio! too bad thats a pointless stat and i dribble it 280 yards!

  • He is HUGE... He is like Adre The Giant or Big Show. But hey; the bigger they are the harder they fall!!!

  • Missing link? I can't think of a guy I'd want to meet in a dark alley less than this guy. He is an absolute monster.

  • For anyone who thinks that Sadlowski is just that much better. You weren't there and you didn't see the conditions change during alot of the players rounds.

  • He looks beast

  • THIS GUY IS HUGE SOME GOOD ADVICE

  • I can think of a few places he would use his skills at 4:26

  • Good Lord did a Scandinavian have a kid with Mean Joe Green and tiger woods that guy is massive

  • hes a fuckin unit

  • Fantastic swing. 99% of the guys that hit it long have terrible looking swings but Mikes looks great. Balanced all the way through, and he can even hold the finish.

  • how to hit a ball farther: be 6'8" and 300 lbs

  • kinda sucks when someone outdrives him and they happen to be 5'10 and 160lbs lol.

  • that dude looks like a damn giant next to the commentator.

  • jeepers...those whips were SCARY - He really meant that!

  • dont wanna get whipped by him damn

  • totally, absolutely agree

  • This guy's more built to play football, not golf. He'd be a great linebacker.

  • he still won 250k in 07 for winning LDA, haha. :P

  • that guys a fuking ogre

  • thats a BIG dude!!

  • deathclutch, you having a roid rage? Why can't you be humble like Fedor?

Mike is a nice guy who gives tips to anyone who asks for them. It's not like anyone's going to hit the ball 400 yards just because they watched this video.

  • you must think of Mike as a Hollywood celeb if you think he is too busy to come on here and post.

For the record moron, he gets paid to do these spots and getting it out to the public is what its about

  • Comment removed

  • These tips have really helped me, thanx mike :)

  • I'm glad they helped!! You're welcome. I will be uploading more videos soon, some will be instructional and some will just be fun.

  • then it must amaze you Mike, that the guy who hit the 515 World record drive in Competition was 64 when he did it back in 1974 with a persimmon head and balls from that era. You would think that with todays technology that a golfer on the PGA tour would of broken that record!

  • That is amazing that Mike Austin was able to hit that 515 shot back in the 70's. I have heard 2 different stories of how that happened. One guy told me he was there, and that it was done on a dogleg hole where he cut the corner and the total distance of the hole was 515. The other story I've heard is that the ball hit 2 concrete ditches on it's way to 515. What the truth is about that shot from 1974 I have no idea!

  • Mike, when you hit it 551, how far did it carry approx?

  • The estimated carry was between 450 and 460 yards.

  • Thats bloody impressive!

  • hey mike, what kinda shaft do u normally use in LD and in a regular round? i use to use a cubic balance driver that was 48 inches and just stiff flex, but when i really pounded one i could get 350 easily. would using a more stiff flex help with more distance or not? i currently have the nike 5900 and am contemplating putting a longer shaft in since now a big drive is maybe 320-330. good luck this year at remax.

  • this year's remax is over man. sadlowski took it again

  • goddam, oh well guess i don't need to worry about missing it on espn now. that sucks, sadlowski is pretty damn good, watching him and dobbyn swing is awesome. couple of the best LD swings out there.

  • It was not at an airfield! I hit it July 17, 2007 at Dragon Ridge CC in Las Vegas during a Butch Harmon Pro Golf Tour event. It was a slightly downihill par 5 with the wind at about 10 to 15 mph helping. I have a letter of verification signed by 5 witnesses to prove it!

  • BEAST!

  • Slow-mo would be great, just so we could see the amount of lag!

  • if you can pause it at 7.07 you can see his amazing lag

  • I wonder if he has ever greened a par 5

  • Yes, I have! 3 actually, but those were dogleg holes. The shot that went 551 went straight and was pin high just off the green.

  • That's absolutely incredible, I have just started hitting par 5s in two and I thought that was impressive. Also, thanks for the advice. I hit all my irons at least 10 yards farther, and I've consistently been hitting my drives 20-30 yards farther than I used to.

  • What district do you normally hit out of? Well, you have a buy into the world's anyway, haha. I was checking out some things with your swing that Manny had been telling me about and I'm hoping this year I'll join you guys out in Mesquite; hopefully repping geek too!

  • i bet he has over shot par 5's

  • The sound his club makes at impact........Oh Boyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

  • hey..he just said he was 6'8" and 300 lbs.

    Watch the video

  • wow amazing, thanks for the tips. definately agree with getting the slow motion video, also, could there be a video of him absolutely smashing the ball and then following the ball to see were it lands, i havent actually seen how far he really does hit it yer. 551 yards, wow!

  • That's great, I love that it contained warm up and training tips.

Only thing "missing" would have been one slow motion of that SWING.

    Super

    //K

  • I'll ask Chaz if he can do something with putting a slow-mo shot in there. Thanks for the comment.
