@jhr2jam First of all he said that he has visited 57 states, out of 58. Second, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and United States Minor Outlying Islands are not counted in the 50 states.
He actually said he'd been to 57 states with one more to go and his staff wouldn't let him go to Alaska and Hawaii. That implies 60 states, 59 now that Hawaii is now part of Asia. Did he give Hawaii to China as collateral?

You don't need to get so defensive, everybody makes mistakes. When Bush made mistakes he was mocked for it, now it's Obama's turn. Relax. You really want to worry, look up Obama gaffes, like where he reads the wrong lines on the teleprompter and thanks President Obama for inviting him, or when Letterman did the "Barack Obama "Uh" Count", 30 in one speech. He cuts out most of the dialog and strings the uhs together so it looks like Obama can't make a sentence, it's pretty funny.

You really need to learn to let go. Like I said earlier, you don't need to get so defensive. When the guy in office goofs up, he becomes the joke of the day because he's the guy in office. That's how it works. Notice how nobody talks about Bushisms anymore? Or Monica Lewinski? When Obama's out, he'll fade into history too, as everybody pays nore attention to the new guy.

All I was doing is making a point that Bush did this on a daily basis and you come up with that 57 state thing which is so old, he wasn't even the president when he said it. There was a calendar that came out each year of new Bushisms. I'm just trying to put this into context. You are the one making a big deal out of it.
