  • happy hands club

  • i realize this is an ASL 2 class but for future reference, work on the concepts a little more and facial expressions and don't worry so much about "word, word, word". Otherwise, very good. Very proficient!

  • What asl was this? 3?

  • I know her hehe.

  • COOL! Teach me! ^-^

  • haha that was cute :) awesome job

  • Great job, I'm going into ASL 3 I want to become an interpreter, you did a great job signing and your really gorgeous btw

  • awesome

  • when you take a sign language course and your not deaf as a "final" kinda of you have to sign a song to the beat thats what she's doing i believe. i dont think she's deaf she's signing on the beat.

  • Your so fast! This must be really hard to do... So much respect for you. GREAT job! Great song too! Makes me think of high school *sigh*. Props to you.

  • that was great!!! i hope i can learn enough to be that good!!!

  • that was awesome!! but im asuming she isnt deaf is she??

  • Really Cute. & I LOVE that song. I sign as well, my grandparents are both deaf as well as my aunt, ASL is definitely one of my passions. ^_^

  • You're really good, wished I could learn ASL! Chinese is challenging enough, but one day I'll be learning ASL! Keep up the great work Girl!

  • That was amazing I am mean you Sid the ask perfectly and side note you are amazingly hot but the ask was awesome and so where you 2 thumbs up

  • thats good she rembered to wear solid colors

  • @xELEMENT1995x are solid colors important??

  • For sign such a fast song... That was amazing!

  • Amazing!!! I wish i could sign that fast :3 great job!

  • Ha...obviously she is hearing

  • @RoyalBengal21 Actually she can feel the vibrations on her feet that's why she was barefoot, she was taught the words by a teacher and then with the beat intersected with the sign. That is how she did the video, so before you assume that she can hear just because she was fast with the lyric, doesn't mean you know how she was taught.

  • @ak102097 Yes I know what are you talking about. If you said so then do you know her? Did you meet her?

  • Comment removed

  • @ak102097 she says "behind the back" at 2:04 so I assume she is hearing since it was pronounced very clearly

  • @frogprince18 or she could be oral

  • @MusicStealsMyHeart That too.

  • @frogprince18 Actually its not as clear as you think. And no I haven't met her in person, but I have met the person that taught her. For one, two, ASL can be taught differently to people whom of which are deaf, she could have lost her hearing after she knew how to speak. I can hear 50% of things that are spoken to me, I have been signing since before I could talk. So.

  • She looks like my Algebra teacher! c:

  • im jelous that u had/have asl in ur school, i want my school to have it so bad

  • it would be awesome if you could post the gloss

  • thts soo cool!

  • you're so pretty! <3

  • really good, but signed complete english...not asl

  • LOL!!

  • ah brings back memories. i took ASL in high school as well and we did projects like this a lot. right before christmas break we learned how to sign "the christmas shoes." scary part is i still remember the whole song and it's been 7 years!!

  • i love asl its such a distinct and intresting languege.

  • @iRewel thats extremely innapropiatte. uqhhhhh. petafile. u are sooo the reason people dont like black people. and fyi yeaa im blackk. uqhhh ur disquistinq.

  • @kammijayy7631 - Is that ebonics or just illiteracy? Yeah, my post on youtube is why people don't like jigaboos. They've done nothing to bring it on themselves. They're all so well-behaved and lovable, which is why white parents love it when their daughters bring one home to meet them.

I'm also pretty sure that making you cry doesn't make someone a "petafile," as you tried to spell it.

  • you're cute.

  • oh I love this song. =)

  • wow great job, you did amazing. Love the song, it's such a fast song, but you did amazing. I wish i could sign that. You made the video so much fun to watch.

  • i wana e in this class!!!!!

  • I liked this a lot, and this song is awesome. Although I have to say you are much more courageous than I am, this song really intimated me to sign. Props to you. =)

  • Loved her facial expressions towards the beginning :D Although she shouldn't have done the sign with her hand after the 'guitar playing' (pinky and index finger up) since it's actually a real sign in ASL. Other than that, it was incredible, her transitions were crisp and yet flowed very nicely. :)

I have to ask, why is she barefoot in her class?

  • @ImaginePeaceDream maybe its a classifer thingy if you head bangiing it changes for bull**** to awesome music lol

  • @ImaginePeaceDream I'm fluent in ASL and she didn't do anything bad there. That just means 'rock on' (but she's just using it as a gesture playing around). The bad sign you're thinking of is different.

  • GOOD JOB! I liked it a lot. The song is very fast especially for a student to do, well done. I love being barefoot in my ASL classes too.

  • haha, i loved this.! good freakin' job girl.!

  • omg this seems just lik my asl clas... lol!!!!! but im only in 9th grade!!!!

  • WHERE ARE HER SHOES!?

  • kawaii!

  • Definetly adorable! Good job! I hope someday I can sign that fast!!

  • Yeah this is S.E.E., not ASL. Still good :]

  • @ttiera227 Well, It was for her ASL 2 Song project, i had to do the same thign and it ended up half and half :p closer to S.E.E i guess but still :p

  • @ttiera227 More like Contact Signing. It has elements of ASL. It is a little closer to the English end of the continuum but not as far as being SEE.

  • She is hella cute and this was soooo cool

  • this was awesome! :oo

  • tehehe this is awesome.. its funny every break you go on your tippy toes :P

  • This takes guts, i just finished my first final for asl but thank god it had to be done on dvd, so no live performances!

  • im in the middle of this song right now!

  • wait what's CODA?

but I agree, this does not look like actual ASL. more like words translated into signs.

  • Child Of Deaf Adult, I believe.

  • its child of deaf parents. and that what asl is. asl is not exact english.

  • Oh I know. My mom taught ASL. its actually like a shortcut of english and I like it waay better.

  • @PromQueensinMomJeans ASL isn't a shortcut to English; it is its own distinct language. It does share some features with English since English and ASL are constantly running into each other, but it is definitely a separate language and not just English abbreviated. :)

  • great video, but this is very see, not asl. signed english, instead of asl.

  • i know this song in sign. that was awesome!

  • so cute, she did a good job

  • She's so cute! And that's a pretty good job for ASL 2!

  • chicks really cute.... just saying...

  • amazing! :)

    im learning ASL now

  • absolutly adorable !'!!

  • awesome job, and uber adorable... lol

  • thats awesome nice job!

  • Where are all of these done?? they are really good-i agree with above..a lot of COAS use lazy ASL, well at least i know i do...but i use ASL for the most part afterall it was my first language with my parents, still these were really good

  • wow she is really cute

  • she was ahead of the song, she knew it too well. and alot of coda kids use home signs. but I have mine due in about two weeks (my sign song for ASLII)

  • AMAZING job

    i loved it :]

  • That was sweet! I liked it. ^.^

  • Thats freaking so beautiful:)

  • ILY!!! Awsomeness!

  • is the foot movement also part of it? is this real? wow!

  • I really can't stop watching this. She looks like she might even be a CODA?

  • No she doesn't... she would sign "looks" the correct way and not be so english-y...

Want real asl? Check out ewitteborg's version of Heartless... THAT is true ASL and how us CODA's really do. ;)

  • AGREED!

  • i also agree but some codas sign lazy as well no offense i do it sometimes and so do others

  • @untraceablekiss CODAs are not all the same.... And some CODAs do sign 'look' that way (even though it is not conceptually correct ASL) and sometimes do have a quirk or two about things. But that's ok. I know several CODAs who are "Englishy." CODAs though are usually more fluid and know how to blend signs together better than most who learn from classrooms and are much more relaxed signers instead of being uptight and choppy like lots of others I see out there.

  • WOW!

  • omg thats so cool.

  • all i have to say is wow!

  • absolutely perfect.

  • amaaazziiing! its just amazing, and i cant blv how fast it wenttt

the only thing i noticed is that the sign that she used for looks is literally the sign for "looks at something' not looks like something. but whateverrrr im just being picky lol. it was wonderfull

  • Very nice, I took 3 years of ASL and your prolly one of the best students I have seen. You were just a little ahead of the music but you were very enthusiastic.

  • I've knnwn ASL for 4 years now and yeah she absolutely has potential to even be an interpretor. Very nice.

  • I agree with the both of you ! I've only been a student for 2 years , but I'm thinking of becoming a sign language teacher or interpreter (something of the sort). This girl has skillls , hahah. Her movements and signs flow so well together and she's just got a charm about her.

  • yeah, like you can't be...shy when you're an interpreter. you have to show the persons emotions in your signs. She's really good.

  • omg! i just did this on friday and got through it. hopefully mrs. robinson gave me a good grade.

  • u r a beast!!!!

  • this really good, your so cute and the signing is so clear. you should do more songs.

  • shes really good.

  • great job..! i love it!

  • that was really good, this is something that got me to start learning sign language :D

  • awesome!

  • dang...ur really good

  • That was so great !

I loved every second of it.

    Great work !

    xx.

  • dang girl, that was sweet! great job!

  • amazing job!!!

    i luv ur actions!

    they were great!

    im subscribing!

  • You dd WONDERFUL!

  • Amazing! Thank you

  • The signing was cute, but I think you're a bit too fast at some parts for the song. I realize it doesn't have to go right with the music all the time, but it makes it flow better.

  • she's in class with no shoes on?

  • @ShellyBurger She needed to feel the vibrations with her feet.

  • @nananhinha shes not deaf, she prolly just has her shoes off... she wouldnt feel with her feet she could just feel it with her body

  • @nananhinha is Kat deaf, or did feeling the vibrations just help her with the song?

  • very good, i love it i like how you had fun with it

  • I Love it!! =) Great!

  • So cute, you're fast! This is a great find.

  • she good.

i want to do a song with her serious.

i'm deaf. i use to be in sign chior.

    type in sign chior hilltop.

  • you did a very good job signing the song..... but next time, try to sign more to the beat. your signs looked rushed and not very artistic as is should be for a song like this....

    other than that, amazing job

  • I agree.You did good!!

  • I agree. But great job! The instruments part was funny, lol.

  • I love it.

    You're a very talented signer. <3

And you have lots of personality. <3

  • cute cute cute awesome ASL

  • i likes!!!!!! =]

  • BTW, YOU DID AWESOME!

  • How come it seems a lot of the performances for what I'm assuming is a college class, the people signing are always barefoot....Is theres a reason to it ? Or is it just are ASL classes comfortable ones ? <3

  • Nope, ASL is not a college class, this is a regular Senior High school foreign lang class...

  • I'm taking an ASL class at my college. So some colleges do offer ASL classes.

  • @ccutune I wish my ASL class was that loose and relaxed :/

  • @ccutune Well it IS a College Class (btw) But good job on video - why does that classroom always look like it's in a lot of ASL vids?

  • @ccutune I wish ASL was offered as a foreign language at my school. I thin it's a beautiful language.

  • @Clubpixie20 haha! really?!

  • Good job youre so cute! lol love the "when she SMILES" hahaha

  • Can you tell me who sings this song?!

  • It's "story of a girl" by Nine Days.

  • Thanks.
