@blazinbudsbitch, Hi Blazin, I will try to combine my response to your 3 statements. Old Testament ridgid law was changed when Jesus came. Remember he rebuked the Priest for their conduct. Jesus came to "set the captives free." God expects us to behave, be holy, etc. But it is impossible for us to be perfect. So we have Jesus John 3:16. We also have free will...When we are imperfect & fail, we can ask for forgiveness, and be holy (cleansed) b4 the Lord. (God's grace). Do r best&letGoddotherest.

When Jesus died on the cross, the methods for us for people seeking forgiveness of sins was changed. You no longer had to go to a priest with an unblemished animal. Now we could go through Jesus. One of the problems Jesus had with the Pharisees is they were following written laws of man rather then there heart and love for GOD.

@blazinbudsbitch God allows people to make their own mistakes. He gives us choice. I like that song about "Thank God for unanswered prayers." Many people screw up their lives and pay a high price for it. Then they blame God, rather than take responsibuility for their choices.

@grkike I could see it as a plausible GOD telling someone to leave there marriage and marry someone else for certain reasons.

1.Lets say the women was getting beat and GOD could predict her husband would eventually kill her; so knowing she feels she needs a spouse to support the family no matter what GOD might choose to protect her through the ways that he can.

2.Maybe the husband could have been leading the wife to a life of sin; and GOD knew she would not leave her groom with out another

@blazinbudsbitch Hi Blazin...I am sure in the cases you mention, that the woman would not stay in the marriage if she feared her husband in the ways you mention. I am sure the Lord doesn't expect someone, man or woman to stay in a marriage that there is imminent danger or bodily harm...etc.

@grkike That is simply not true. Do you know how many cases of domestic abuse go completely unreported to police? I think it's very ignorant to say a women would walk away from an abusive spouse because I have known many women who make up excuses for it, and they only seperated due to court injunction (after neighbours called police, and courts put orders on); leaving a family would be much harder.

I actually tried that as well.....doesn't really help. I have resorted to praying a fasting until God gives me very clear direction. I was married once before. I was annulled by the church....so I can remarry in the church. Please keep me in your prayers. I feel called to marry but am wondering if He is truly THE ONE.

Hi Rafaella, if you are afraid to go forward, then you should wait! When you're ready, you will not be afraid, but excited to move forward with marriage. Write down what is making you afraid and then put someone you love like mom, sister, friend or daughter in your position. Then look at the list as if someone you love is asking you advice on this matter regarding moving forward with the marriage). As if they are the one in your shoes. And I think you will have the answer you are looking for :)

No offence taken Starman, I do agree with you in a small portion of the essence of what I think you mean and that is that one must be careful about hearing what they consider from the Lord, their own thoughts, others that claim to hear from the Lord, and so on. Voices, or thoughts are not always from the Lord. That is why it is important to rely on the verse about wisdom from above being gentle, kind, and easy to intreat. God doesn't tell people to do evil things, or hurt people, and so on.
