The funny thing.. F1 2010 for the PS3 has amazing graphics, but the game sucks, especially because you can't play multiplayer split-screen, choose only race only, or even remove the penalties you get such as invalidated laps for the smallest mistake. Even though the F1 2009 was for the Wii only, and it had bad graphics compared to the succeeder, it is still a better game.

Everybody is so negative about the wii but i think its a great system for everybody whit a family like me. Now i play whit my girlfriend and the kids. Al the people i know that have a xbox 360 are sitting on their rooms alone by them selves happy about how how much better their graphics are. I play the wii and i like the machine.

I don't really get why people compare this with PS3 or Xbox 360 since Wii is just one of the most original consoles ever. Xbox and PS3 are the ones who want to copy the controls with Project Nathal. I may not always be right but I'm never wrong :P I used to be like you, I believed that the Wii sucked. But that was before I PLAYED it. Nintendo don't care about making "big bucks". And the X-box is the MOST UNRELIABLE CONSOLE IN THE WORLD.
@CWMaster1000 can't argue with that but when they allow or nintendo themselves develop a game and try too take a slice of the hardcore games like forza 3 or halo or god of war 3 or bayonetta you have to agree with there old hardware (gamecube enhanced hardware) slapped with a remote on it to make it feel new sure they have a large audience that supports it the only real problem none of those 3rd party titles sell on the wii and they ain't buying any either!!
Been playing this for weeks, its a lot of fun! I hope the 360 / PS3 version brings over the challenges mode as well, that has been very entertaining :) Good graphics for a Wii, and great gameplay!

The Wii has better graphics possibility than this. I hate to compare another game though but I have GT4 which I thought was beautiful on PS2 I would use that as a base line and even the pit crew doesn't look as good in this game as it does in GT4. It looks like they just threw a game out and expected all F1 fans to buy it no matter what it looked like. Sadly I won't be wasting my money I will just have to wait and Hope 2010 for PC is better than this poor excuse of a current gen game is better.
Guys what were you expecting? The game is basically a remake of F1 06 for PS2 with better controls and similar graphics. If you want realistic graphics then you're better off buying a PS3 or an XBOX 360.
Most of the problems are not the graphics, the mega oversteering is one, AI is dead..absolute disgrace. I liked it for 2 days, now I can just see why it's a bit poor. None of the racing feel gp4 gives you. Bad damage which is basic in the extreme.
I think "Vroom" was more fun, this is ok for a quick bash, arcade type game, but it's def not an F1 sim at all. What we expected was a decent racing game, aka you don't get rear ended all the time! Bad software development, shame..could have been good

Just remembering something: when they launched the gamecube,it had very poor graphics, considered also to be the worst of the generation. But then, take a look at RE4....
I think all consoles from this generation will only show their true power after some 2 years, because the company only poduces new consoles once they have reached maximum capacity with the current one, which for the last generation it took some 5 years.

Graphics aren't everything in games.. Back in the day when us console gamers had nothing to compareour graphics to it didn't matter that much. When all we had was the 2600 what else was there, console wise. The SNES and Genesis were pretty much the same graphics wise. But now that's not the case. The Wii is supposed to be a next gen console. Those graphics are unacceptable. Wii gamers, it's a poor excuse to try and excuse bad graphics by saying it's not that important. You only say that cause you have a Wii.

The game looks the way it does because it has a beastly physics engine. As with all systems, the Wii's power is finite. When you go all out in one area, others suffer. Seriously, if you can get around the graphics, I don't have a doubt in my mind that this will be an amazing game.
Next generation console doesn't straight mean next gen graphics. It can possibly be also e.g. next generation gameplay (which Wii has).
I think I also said earlier that I'm wondering why to do this game for these platforms. I don't see any idea in doing this for Wii, I would rather do it for PC, X360 and ps3. And again: no, I DON'T have a Wii. If I bought some of the next gen consoles it would be X360
They're just doing this game to "win" new players from wii and psp. The real deal (which is the 2010 version) will be multi-platform, including ps3, xbox 360 and pc.
I never said the Wii did better than anything. I just said that having a detailed physics engine and running at 60FPS hindered the graphics. I, personally think it was a smart move to prioritize graphics over gameplay. I think the game's going to be great and if you read previews, my opinion isn't exactly outlandish.
Going "allout" in the graphics department doesn't excuse them from making those front wheels turn like that around those corners. Look up F1 Championship Edition on the PS3 and compare the way the wheels turn around corners on that game compared to this one.
... The PS3 is far more powerful than the Wii. It can go all-out in graphics and gameplay. It's games can both look and handle like a dream whereas the Wii can either look good, or handle good(or somewhere in between). If you want to make the best driving experience the Wii can offer, then graphics are gonna have to take a serious hit as power that would normally be allocated to graphics would have to be used for gameplay.
If the conole/pc versions of this game are not full blow simulators, i will not be buying them. I want the realism we had with the pc version of f1 challenge 99-02, not the arcade garbage that we got from the playstation series.
I think that many of rFactor F1 mods look as good or better than that. I would like to have more F1 games from studio liverpool (SCEE). I am horrified if the handling of the car is as bad as in GRiD

Well considering we are talking about the Wii, it does look pretty impressive. To be honest the racing games I've played on the Wii are so ho hum compared to the other platforms, this one may actually not be half bad. True compared to the PS3 or 360 its not even close, but compared to other Wii games... might not be bad.
Just hope its not like Dirt 2 on the Wii. I was very dissapointed.
By the way, they're right in posting videos for the Wii to promote the Wii version, a lot of people would get really mad to see some Beautiful videos of an PS3 version of the game and when they get it for a Wii it wouldn't look the same way in the videos they saw, it's like cheating like Actvision did with CoD W@W for the Wii when they used 360 gameplay vids to promote it
Well... the 360, PS3 and PC versions will only be out next year, untill than I'll grab what I can, sure I'll get the Wii and PSP versions of this when it come out and next I'll get the PS3 version and maybe the 360 too since I haven't got any new games for it in a while(I hope it still works lol)

IMHO, i think graphics are NOT the most important in a (racing) game. Also I enjoyed world of goo and megaman 9 more then lostwinds (which has more advanced graphics). High framerate, good feel, control, sound and gameplay are way more important to me than the number of polygones and pixelshaders. If you want more GFX, you might want to buy a ps3. But I like new concepts and enjoyable games. Like this game with whiwheel :D
Yes, that is true - graphics don't make a game. But, if you are showcasing the best of the game and really want to get hype and attention from gamers - you do so by showing its features on the better consoles - not the Wii.

Looks half decent for a Wii game but I agree. As far as an actual racing sim goes this (and probably F1 2010) is likely to be a fair few miles behind EA's F1 2002 for the PC... 'cause like the next Forza/GT games they trying to please as many people as they can to shift units, rather than create a genuinely impressive game.

@CWMaster1000 can't argue with that but when they allow or nintendo themselves develop a game and try too take a slice of the hardcore games like forza 3 or halo or god of war 3 or bayonetta you have to agree with there old hardware (gamecube enhanced hardware) slapped with a remote on it to make it feel new sure they have a large audience that supports it the only real problem none of those 3rd party titles sell on the wii and they ain't buying any either!!

The Wii has better graphics possibility than this. I hate to compare another game though but I have GT4 which I thought was beautiful on PS2 I would use that as a base line and even the pit crew doesn't look as good in this game as it does in GT4. It looks like they just threw a game out and expected all F1 fans to buy it no matter what it looked like. Sadly I won't be wasting my money I will just have to wait and Hope 2010 for PC is better than this poor excuse of a current gen game is better.

Guys what were you expecting? The game is basically a remake of F1 06 for PS2 with better controls and similar graphics. If you want realistic graphics then you're better off buying a PS3 or an XBOX 360.

Most of the problems are not the graphics, the mega oversteering is one, AI is dead..absolute disgrace. I liked it for 2 days, now I can just see why it's a bit poor. None of the racing feel gp4 gives you. Bad damage which is basic in the extreme.
I think "Vroom" was more fun, this is ok for a quick bash, arcade type game, but it's def not an F1 sim at all. What we expected was a decent racing game, aka you don't get rear ended all the time! Bad software development, shame..could have been good

yah, but u have to know that ppl who made games for iphone does it for a living, these guys makes games for the 360/ps3 for a living, wii is just extra cash for friday bar nights. really. if these guys put as much effort into making these games at LEAST the same as the iphone game devs, ANYTHING can look good on wii. again it's all about dev, WII > xbox 1 hardware wise, but look wat they can do with xbox 1, the graphics that xbox can handle, how come we dont see any of that on the wii. see?

Just remembering something: when they launched the gamecube,it had very poor graphics, considered also to be the worst of the generation. But then, take a look at RE4....
I think all consoles from this generation will only show their true power after some 2 years, because the company only poduces new consoles once they have reached maximum capacity with the current one, which for the last generation it took some 5 years.

Graphics aren't everything in games.. It's sure indeed nice to see good graphics and so on but I think the gameplay should be the main factor. e.g. If we have a game with perfect graphics but gameplay sucks, it would be same as nothing.. Regardless from that I also wonder why to do this game for Wii and Psp, still waiting new F1 game for PC..

Back in the day when us console gamers had nothing to compareour graphics to it didn't matter that much. When all we had was the 2600 what else was there, console wise. The SNES and Genesis were pretty much the same graphics wise. But now that's not the case. The Wii is supposed to be a next gen console. Those graphics are unacceptable. Wii gamers, it's a poor excuse to try and excuse bad graphics by saying it's not that important. You only say that cause you have a Wii.

Look, i am sick of people who are saying that the graphics are crap. Ok, they are a little bit, but this is wii and psp. give codemasters a chance! They will make better gameplay! Be happy that there IS a formula 1 game. It don't cares me for the graphics and even the gameplay. It's just for the new circuits and drivers. I can't continue to play F1CE. The game looks the way it does because it has a beastly physics engine. As with all systems, the Wii's power is finite. When you go all out in one area, others suffer. Seriously, if you can get around the graphics, I don't have a doubt in my mind that this will be an amazing game.

Next generation console doesn't straight mean next gen graphics. It can possibly be also e.g. next generation gameplay (which Wii has).
I think I also said earlier that I'm wondering why to do this game for these platforms. I don't see any idea in doing this for Wii, I would rather do it for PC, X360 and ps3. And again: no, I DON'T have a Wii. If I bought some of the next gen consoles it would be X360

I never said the Wii did better than anything. I just said that having a detailed physics engine and running at 60FPS hindered the graphics. I, personally think it was a smart move to prioritize graphics over gameplay. I think the game's going to be great and if you read previews, my opinion isn't exactly outlandish.

Going "allout" in the graphics department doesn't excuse them from making those front wheels turn like that around those corners. Look up F1 Championship Edition on the PS3 and compare the way the wheels turn around corners on that game compared to this one.

... The PS3 is far more powerful than the Wii. It can go all-out in graphics and gameplay. It's games can both look and handle like a dream whereas the Wii can either look good, or handle good(or somewhere in between). If you want to make the best driving experience the Wii can offer, then graphics are gonna have to take a serious hit as power that would normally be allocated to graphics would have to be used for gameplay.

Well considering we are talking about the Wii, it does look pretty impressive. To be honest the racing games I've played on the Wii are so ho hum compared to the other platforms, this one may actually not be half bad. True compared to the PS3 or 360 its not even close, but compared to other Wii games... might not be bad.
Just hope its not like Dirt 2 on the Wii. I was very dissapointed.

IMHO, i think graphics are NOT the most important in a (racing) game. Also I enjoyed world of goo and megaman 9 more then lostwinds (which has more advanced graphics). High framerate, good feel, control, sound and gameplay are way more important to me than the number of polygones and pixelshaders. If you want more GFX, you might want to buy a ps3. But I like new concepts and enjoyable games. Like this game with whiwheel :D

Yes, that is true - graphics don't make a game. But, if you are showcasing the best of the game and really want to get hype and attention from gamers - you do so by showing its features on the better consoles - not the Wii.

Looks half decent for a Wii game but I agree. As far as an actual racing sim goes this (and probably F1 2010) is likely to be a fair few miles behind EA's F1 2002 for the PC... 'cause like the next Forza/GT games they trying to please as many people as they can to shift units, rather than create a genuinely impressive game.
