Charles D'Almaine (1871--1943) was house violin soloist and concertmaster for the Victor and Edison companies. He also recorded copiously for Columbia and many other labels. As a soloist, D'Almaine turned in consistent workmanlike renditions?!? of classical melodies, popular songs, novelties, and Irish jigs and reels. His association with Victor began in 1901.

@Westtoledoguy I just listened to the record a little closer and it may actually say "Miserere" from Il Trovatore. So, see if that is in the Edison record catalog.

D'Almaine was a talented violinist. I can't imagine how many times he had to record this Miserere to fulfill the demand.

@EnerG15 I cant find any info on it either name not listed in the Edison Cylinder book 1889 to 1912 but it was a great sounding record
