  • Where was this flight from?

  • @luilory Cairo :)

  • beautiful is the only word i can say

  • I am not very sure, but I heard the captain say "big ass" at 6:29. I could be wrong as this was in German. I love Germans.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, he planted her a bit firmly on that one after the last minute centerline correction.

    Still, beautiful bird.

I have 8 hours or so on NWA's level D Airbus simulators. They are a dream to fly. True masterpieces of human ingenuity.

  • That was a text book landing. Runway wet condition. Airbus a330 landing is meant to have triple touchdown on landing. first by aft main wheel bogey, then the forward main wheel bogey followed by the nose wheel.

  • that landing was not good. :D

  • lol you´re a pilot?

the runway 25L in frankfurt is terrible.

    not the pilot

  • @instbtl210

Bad Runway=Bad Landing, I didn't say that it was pilot's fault. Got it?

  • From cairo??

  • HORRIBLE landing :(

  • I think it was a hard landing

  • it was a normal landing...

through the camera it may look rough, but it's normal that it shakes when the plane touches the ground.

  • actually the plane bounced 3 times.

  • actually it was hard, if u listen closely, u'll see that the plane bounced 3 times

  • That was a kickass sound recording! 5*!!!

  • haha, "Retard, retard!!!"

  • What's so funny about that?

  • i think he thought it means : stupid, stupid!!!

I think he isn't really the smartest guy i've seen.

I really dont know what could be funny about that.

    It's Normal.

    Nice video.

  • lol

the fact that he might have thought that seems quite funny to me.

to me this airbus functionality is a helpful feature

  • Or maybe the guy doesnt know about aviation, it doesn't mean he's not the the smartest guy u've seen.

  • very good video 5*

  • k wats the sound u hear at 4:37 through? the tik tik tik thing. does that mean like established on the ils or wat?!

  • the tik tik tik alone means the Autothrust has been disconnected

  • ohhh okayyy, thanks.

  • Actually, the single chime "Bing" indicates Autothrust was disconnected. The Triple-Click or tick-tick-tick is an alert advising the pilots of a mode change on the FMA or Flight Mode Annunciator located on the top portion of the Primary Flight Displays. In this case, the triple-click is sounded because of a downgrade in the ILS Approach capability from CATIII to CATI due to Autothrust and Autoflight being disconnected on short final.

  • it makes sense :) thanks for the correction

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet man

  • the checks and everything is in english, but it's a german airline so they're talking german ^^

  • what is the official aviation communication language in Germany? is it german?

  • official language is english. the pilots are talking to each other in german but the communication with the tower is always in english. it's germany, not france!

  • u do now that thats not flight simulator x its real

  • Oh i love fsx

  • Holy S-H-I-T!!! Nearly SHIT myself there when I heard the first big BEEEEPPP

  • BEEEEEPPP = Outer Marker ;)

  • it seam to have landed rough or is it more just noisy than bumpy? :)

  • Very nice filming, thanks, the cockpits look great of a night with all the lights and screens.

  • yes

  • Love the way the cameraman tilted the cam to match the DG bank angle....

  • wait is this aircraft an a330 or a340?

  • If you look at the E/WD, you can see 2 engines, so its an A330. ;)

  • Do they use autopliot on approach?

  • Yes they do, but they disconnect it at 400 feet.Approach mode, localizer, glide Slope, dual AP.

  • It said CAT3 dual on the Cap's prime, isnt it in autoland?

  • actually in a330 it is better to do an auto land and full autopilot approach.

  • Cat 3 dual means the autopilot has been set up for an autoland yeah. The dual means that both autopilots, as the aircraft has two, have been selected. To initiate an autoland both autopilots must be selected. But yeah you're right. It is in autoland.
