scout has already explained hundreds of times that he will not wear hi vis, or any other obvious clothing, as it gives away the positions of who he's filming, which would spoil the footage.

Simple.

You're in Hampshire? Combat South Airsoft runs two sites near Portsmouth, there are also a couple near Southampton, and two just north of Bournemouth if you don't mind travelling.

Google "Airbana Airsoft Map" for a map of skirmish sites in the UK.
