i was at this "show". They had a raffle and big Charlie (RIP) won a hairdryer and got pissed cause he was skinhead and smashed it! Hilarious! it was also fun fucking with the actors cause they def were not into hardcore music.
I worked on the crew of this film, and a lot of people got hurt during the filming of this scene. One in particular, was paralyzed from a stage diver breaking his neck. I was the one who followed him to the hospital and stayed with him until we knew the extent of his injuries. I just want to clarify some of the posts on here from that day...yes, it was filmed at The Ritz, yes we fed the extras, and no, we didn't give out pot to ANYBODY! I'm not saying it wasn't around, but not from us.
I saw these guys around this time period with Ludichrist at a club I believe was called Streets. I think it was in New Rochelle NY. My memory doesn't work like it used to but I do remember at the end of the show, the house system started playing Malmsteen and my buddy Van turned around and said "this fuckin' sucks" and then he grinned and threw up on my cousin. Those were great days.
I have to agree with PRETALIATION, that guy is NOT Steele at all, look at 1.25 completely different person! And yes, he is the same guy who appears at 2.37.
@GuiltyInnocenceX - Another blind fool. Oh are you are the jerk off who told my friend termini and I to ''mind our business' regarding the theft of Peter's car ?
@RoilNoise are you sure 2 people crippled for life ??? thats rare ,,, ive done hundreds of flips /dives , still here although no more dives , just moshin im 43
@PRETALIATION lol easy there buddy, this was 86, how do you know pete had the tattoo at that time. also he said in an interview he used to go see hardcore bands and was a fan of the mags just because he was in carnivore and worked in a park doesn't mean he can't go to see a band play, LOL, and his hair was that length around 1986. what does it matter anyway, i still think its him and you have come on here ranting at people like a little upset child, fucking idiot hahaha.
@slantyrock Eat shit blind boy. Some of us were THERE in '86 and don't need interviews.
Yeah - this has really upset me terribly - Dunno how I'll sleep at night after a useless bag of protoplasm like you has fired such a withering broadside.
@PRETALIATION you're funny. i'm guessing you are at least 30, and are ranting like a little disturbed psychotic emo lol. you provide good entertainment so that's a positive.
@Misery1219 He's hunched over in the video, his face is the same, especially his unique ears and his nose is similar, maybe it isn't but it looks a lot like him.
Im in the clip at 3:38! This day was nuts-Big Charlie (R.I.P) won a hairdryer in a raffle and smashed that shit onstage! jason Krackdown is in this clip too! everybody kept fucking with the actors cause they obviously were not into the Cro-Mags, I think one of the douchebag actors was Matt Dillions brother or something-we did not give a fuck!!
I agree with u man, im 37 years old and in time to time i go to "hardcore" shows and i get really bore, thery're just clowns, bands just dont feel it anymore. So we need to keep watching old school videos of Cro mags and bad brains and thats the sad true.
however though, its not all band these days that have lost the feel of hardcore, there still quite a few bands that keep the spirit alive, but i agree that there is a hell of alot of band thats just scream down a microphone these days.
check out losing streak, damaged goods, true colours and common cause if you havent already, there all bands from belgium that keep the old school hardcore alive.
i remember the day when they filmed this at the ritz. i broke my vertebrae, 4 ribs and punctured my lung. i spent 4 days at the hospital and nobody visited me caus i suck
Damn - I miss these times! Rock Hotel shows, cb's matinees, the old ritz! if only ave B didn't turn into Avenue Bistro, maybe there'd be a real scene again and not the mtv crap of today.
I remeber skipping school that day also to to see this. It was the first time for me seeing the cromags live and it was awesome. My friend Jason (singer from Krakdown) was the one screaming "hard times" in the mic with Bloodclot - I remember that day like yesterday because I almost had my neck broken by a 300 pound stage diver...

Peter didn't do video extra work - He worked Parks Dept. and was rocking full force with CARNIVORE.
