It is very, very, very, usefull if you have an auto-shell on. This cancels the 1 hit death! compare to spending your time re-casting and getting your team on the verge of getting wiped out! You will be at ease once you are equiped with it. Good luck!

Wow either your realy brave or really stupid. But wow your gonna most likely die before you kill him, but hey he killed me at least 55 times before he got to even half health. On the 56th try I killed him but all I had left was Basch, sadly took me long enough took me about 12-18 hrs. I was lvl55 everybody. So no wonder he beath the pulp outa me, hehehe

i spent five and a half hours beating this fucker im playing the game from start again this is the one fight im never doing again hes too damn annoying and hard to do it again i still have my file that says order of ambrosia and i tell u omega mark was easier than this dude this guy was easy till he uses growing threat and his damage cap go's down to 6999 he is ridiculous once he starts blinking red

faith and bravery play a big part in this battle i would strongly recomend ou have these before battle bubble is the top as well if you want to keep you alive i recomend a bubble belt and the boss is located at the ridorana catatract i advise the strongest gear and weapons

Actually you can. You can get one via the normal way in the necrohol of nabudis and you can also obtain several from the henne mines method, although the odds are very low on getting one out of the mines...but still possible to have more than one zodiac spear.

There's actually a few different ways one could go about facing Yaizmat. I can't say I'm this far in the game, but my friend gives all his party members Bubble Belts, and casts Decoy and Reverse on Vaan, making sure to take off the remedy gambit because Reverse is a negative effect. The one downside is that Reverse takes too much MP to cast, so my friend instead went with replacing Vaan's Bubble Belt with the Genji Gloves, then layering Shell, Bravery, and Berserk. I think he's still fighting...

OMG...Yaizmat was a bitch to kill...took me about three tries and 7 hours to do it...but i was at level 99 which was a big help...I had two character fight while one heals...I thought MP was gonna be a problem because I hate using the charge technique so I figure out about using a technique to steal MP from my own characters...Katana and ninja swords were a big help also just add berserk and bravery and watch the main fighter go crazy...

i am making it official, this boss is the hardest, longest boss of all time! i can fight him now, but i dont wanna spend 8 plus hours fighting him! square-enix is just making up for final fantasy 10 final boss with this boss. curse you!!!!!! (seriously, this is one hard sona#$@%&!) lol

I hated him!!! my lvls were 75,76 and 78... Vaan, Balthier and ashe... I did it eventually but he refused to die when i eventually got his health down to about 4 million. Took 35 attempts (like leaving to save/recover etc) b4 i killed him. But what a victory =D xxxx

I havent managed to kill him yet. I wasn't doing anything remotely respectable damage-wise to him. The death strike effect was more of a pain than useful because it almost always hits me. I really just need to level up some more before I continue.

i am like that now but i use guns and shell and wait at stairs so his death strike sometimes misses and i nearly killed him so try that strategy

just wait at stairs but so he can target you but use guns so he cant use anythin but death strike, i mean yea u do someitmes die but still it is alot easier that close up attacks
