'Michel Fourniret' committed terrible crimes in France and Belgium he was (apprehended 26 june 2003 with the movie released date June 18, 2003).

film makers had to tread with care many grieving family's it could have been to much for them as the movie was out the same time as the real life similar events were about to unfold all over France & Belgium!

the unpredictable timing couldn't have been worst

wow why is the ending "pathetic" and "heartbreaking"? what was so terrible about it? true it should have revealed more, like how she got the truck and access to everything the "killer" had but besides that there was nothing wrong with the ending

I agree with you 100%. I liked the movie until the plot twist. It got me to thinking about the truck driver was never really there at all and it was always the blond girl and that didn't make sense to me. So was she fighting with herself in the woods at the end of the movie??????? The plot twist just ruined the movie for me though. Like you had said, if they hadn't of done that, it would have been a great movie hands down.

I just watched Switchblade and i agree with you Snowman that the ending sort of like cancels everything else out what happens in the movie but Marie could have like created the illusion of the killer and she must of felt like it was her duty to protect Alex something like that anyway ;)

@manhuntAC Yes Marie suffered from "Dissociative Personality Disorder" but I suspect that Alex knew of Marie's condition. Her reaction when Mariesshows up at the truck Alex's reaction is like: "Do you know what you did?" (This Time).

@rachelsOne Ye man i agree, the one thing i hate about this movie is the first death scene where Marie chops the guys head of i found it really unrealistic to what the movie was actually supposed to be because all the other deaths are fantastic but the first death is a bit stupid

I must say I agree with alot you said. I enjoyed the movie and while others didnt understand and even had lil fights in review channels,its ment to be a horror movie and lots of horror movies have twists , what i think aja was tyring to do was be different. I think he was trying to do something no one else had done before. I give this movie 5 stars but thats just my opinion. For all who havent seen the movie ,enjoy! High Tension is a great horror film. Yeah, the ending where you found Marie was the killer is not as exciting as the rest of the film.
