@petugalo Not sure what your point is, buddy. Everyone knows Metallica's song is older, way to state the obvious, Captain. Refer to basically every other comment on this video and even the video description. I just noticed the intros were quite similar and made a video for it.
granted they do sounds similar but is there any problem with people taking inspiration from other bands? i dont think so, intros are similar but the songs are so different.
Nothing ever wrong with taking inspiration. Like I've said, I never accused anyone of plagiarism (wouldn't even by my place to). And yeah the songs do sound completely different, and they're both great songs. Just wanted to post a video with both the intros together ;)
and the chords are Not the same. they are close but the second chord is played on G. Sanitarium is all open E as a root , plus Zakk plays it differently anyways.
your a dumbshit and this is a waste of time. both are great songs and both guitarists are great and i'm sure 10x better than you -yeah theyre similar but so what, Zakk didnt rip anybody off. the world aint gonna end -fuck you
Hahaha. I never said anything against either Zakk or Metallica, or accused anyone of plagiarism. Just noted that the songs sounded very similar, especially when played back to back.
i doubt Zakk knew that it was almost an exact copy of metallica, but that still doesnt change the fact that Sanitariums riff got ripped off, and neither does playing it on a 12 string either. I respect both bands and guitarist for referance too.
If it was possible to do a completely new drum line for it and then combine the guitar riffs it would sound fuckin' awesome!! Then it would be called Sold My Sanitarium!! :)
Yes that's true, I did make Sold my Soul a little faster, but that doesn't mean I completely edited the song beyond original recognition. It was just to allow back-to-back playback of both the songs to see the similarities. You'll still notice that the key is the same, and the melody is very similar.
Yeah, Metallica's one sounds a lot more ambient, but I think I prefer the BLS one. I just love the extra bit they put in, (hard to explain, I mean the bit at 4 seconds)
hahahaha
the zakk song is from 1996 and metallica's one 1986
this video is dumb

@jefffromjoise not to be rude, but how do you not realize? i mean, metallica is a HUGE band, it wouldnt make sense not to kind of realize.
