Boxer dog Ebony, play and attack

I have a 4 months old Boxer. She does exactly the same thing. She growls when we play but doesn't bite. This is my second Boxer and I would never have any other breed. They make you laugh day in and day out, always playful and curious and are the best dogs when you have children. Truly Gorgeous dogs. I keep telling EVERYONE, once you get a Boxer, You'll never turn back. LOL

Our nearly 2year old boxer Ringo plays the same way. While sounding all mean and vicious is extremely careful he doesn't bite hard when he mouths your hands. As said above, boxers are indeed the best dogs ever.

Like the chip you can't have just one. We will be adding a black boxer pup to our family here is a few weeks

Our dog does the same thing! He is only a year old and people always say "You wait till he's full grown, he'll bite you or one of the kids!" lol Boxers are the greatest dogs EVER and If you can't smile everyday then own a Boxer, because there isn't a day that goes by that mine doesn't make me smile and laugh till it hurts!

I have a boxer and he is the most patient dog. You can pull him, push him, wrestle, but he will never attack. That is why i think that these dogs are the best family dogs: super friendly, need action (to get kids of computers) and are protective of their homes. The best breed ever.

well from what i have heard is that all dogs eventually turn on their owners. i asked a friend and he said yeah they wont recognize you and they will just turn on you one day. but i still want a boxer.

Well, tell your friend he is wrong. I have had dogs (most of them where boxers) all my live. And not a single one was ever (even for a second) mean to me. Is there a reason they turn to your friend?

@Sneako4 there is no reason he loves dogs and he is really good with them but as good and devoted as he is with them he said at any point a dog can turn on you and they just wont recognize you. I really want a boxer and just want to know if im making a good choice. I would go for a pit but they got too much bad rep but on a boxer i hear good things. Any tips?

well bread, raised and tempered dogs would never do that...

the problem would happen if u get a crazy or mentally ill dog( which can happen) or if you get a dominant dog and not teach him good from the beginning his rank in the family...so it would always be your mistake!!!

Oh believe me, this dog can be trusted for 100%. She is the most lovely gentle dog. That's why it is I said "only boxer dog owners will understand"

Its so exciting to see this! I have a one year old boxer named Joplin who does the same thing when we are outside and shes gets very excited. People always thinks that shes an aggressive dog but all she wants to do is play ALL THE TIME! Wish more people understood how gentle these beautiful animals are.

We laughed out loud when we saw this. We have 3 boxers. Our male plays just like this. Scares the snot out of anybody who's visiting and doesn't know boxers. Like sulkoma said, they are so gentle and loving. Best breed ever! Thanks for the laughter!

Thank you for your respond. Yes, I think she is beautiful too. She is female. When I saw her on a picture when she just was 2 or 3 weeks old, I immediately fell in love with her. When I saw her live in the age of 4 weeks, I couldn't believe I could buy her. Of course the most important thing was her caracter, and that's as beaustiful as she is herself. She is my 4th boxer, I just love them.

Ja, wij vinden haar zelf ook erg mooi. Ze is niet helemaal zwart. Door het zwarte haar heen zie je toch nog kleine streepjes (een oranje/gele kleur), waardoor je kan zien dat ze heel donker gestroomd is. De fokker heeft nog niet eerder zo'n donker hondje kunnen fokken als deze. De moeder was normaal gestroomd, de vader was donker gestroomd, maar absoluut niet zo donker als de dochter geworden is. Wij waren gelijk helemaal weg van deze kleur.
