  • I love this shit, Nas's first album is a classic. I didnt realize how old I was until I saw the size of his cell phone. This is better than anything that is now.

  • The greatest at his best!!!

  • The 90s holds the best Hip Hop in my opinon

  • @EntrancedAura00 i think thats everyones opinion.

  • Love it and miss these times some of the best MC's of all time!

  • fantastic quality..headphones got they hands full!

  • dam...now i gotta go watch JUICE!!!

  • i smoked a fucken fat one, and after i put on this track my chair automaticly began to wiggle back and forth... the body can't resist real rap...

  • No doubt this is the best hip hop album of all time. Nobody has been so smart and fucking gorgeous in a hip hop album

  • half man half amazing

  • wtf a jay-z song on the ad? a bad vid to put it on!

  • Illmatic =Dopest hip-hop album ever!

  • with tracks like ny state of mind and halftime i think this song is waayy to overlooked. personally my favorite track off this classic lp. peace

  • Classic is an understatement! Production is on point with one of the greatest, Large Professor. Michael Jackson sample. Nasty Nas = perfection.

  • 1994 > 2011

  • REAL RAP

  • man when i get in that 90s rap mood i cant stop listening. I've been on youtube clicking suggestions. I've been through Nas, pete rock cl smoothe, lord of the underground, digable planets, gang starr. My mind is about to blow up

  • @yesenia0305 u not done yet...lost boyz, meth, il al skratch, fugees, i mean the list goes on

  • @yesenia0305 u aint done yet brah...losy boyz, il al skratch, meth, fugeez, das efx, mc eiht, dpg, i mean 90 will never be duplicated

  • @pagola I don't know man.. We may be able to get all the real hip hop fans together and destroy all this pop rap bull shit. Take all the shit off the radio's and just blast 90s shit. Maybe we can physically force feed the youth real hip hop. Possibly we could get a few real artists.

Who am I kidding, these bitches are blind. 90's hip hop 4 ever. I'll never stop listening to it.

  • FUCK YOUNG MONEY!!! REAL HIP HOP WILL NEVER DIE!!!!

  • WTF? Four people disliked this shit. That Young Money shit is corrupting your minds to the point where it overrules you better way of thinking, and you're not able to separate real Hip-Hop from your own personal bias. How can anybody dislike this song? It's Illmatic. Kids, its ok to like Young Money and new forms of Hip-Hop moving forward in 2012, but don't let it overrule your better of thinking to the degree where you're coming on Youtube and hating on classic music videos. You know better.

  • @lildwayne21 Damn Nigga, I just accidently hit that shit. I pressed like afterwards

  • @lildwayne21

Bro Young Money is in its last days.

  • There's 4 idiots somewhere wearing skinny jeans, a tight ass polo shirt and nail polish, and ALL OF THEM disliked this. Definition of a loser if you ask me. THIS IS REAL HIP HOP!!!

  • so much nostalgia from the beginning

  • one of the best hip hop songs ever created

  • 4 ppl couldnt tell

  • was never a big Nas fan but Illmatic remains in my top 10 albums of all time..

  • @bjf1124 You a Nas fan and you don't even realize it!

  • @bjf1124 Then you are a closet fan!! Much Love!!

  • @gshumo well, i don't know about that, i can appreciate Nasir as an artist without being a fan of his personally...doesn't diminish how good an album Illmatic is

  • I mean how in the hell can someone hit dislike unless by mistake? Illmatic is a hip hop classic and this song is a classic. Love the "Human Nature" sample and Nas' lyrical prowess is second to maybe Rakim, but he is mos def top 5 of all time. Nas's raps should be locked in a cell......ridiculous.....they need to be taught in high school English classes when discussing poetry. The only Nas I like better than this is "One Love"

  • HE's More Than A MC....Dis Nigga a POET

  • i love nas style n music, but truth be told he never got out there like jay z...he in the class still with mobb deep..the part that makes me sad is he fell for some chick like kelis' n what she do..played him, just like a black hood b would do, open ya eyes..love is blind' it would take over ya mind' what you think is love' is really not..always get ya paper

  • Fast forward 17 years and he is an icon also listen to 'Nasty' he is still killin it

  • its like 2pac and method man had a kid

  • is it me or is he a 2pac look alike

  • @DJEZDick420 .. its you

  • It doesnt get much better than Illmatic

  • I was 1 when this song came out, and yet I prefer this to the mainstream shit thats out there now a days.

  • Crazy how in 94 when it came out it really wasn't that popular and wasn't recognized as one of the best till the late 90s...

  • @BigFishSmallPond831 yh same with the film 'scarface'

  • BEST HIP HOP SONG EVER DLA MNIE NAS JEST OBOK RAKIMA NALEPSZYM MC WSZECHCZASÓW

  • I miss real lyrics......

  • My favorite NAS song. His flow was perfected on this song. When I first heard this I was blown away. This song is a classic , It never gets old. The only way to describe him at that time was illmatic.

  • Something you might groove 2 while making a plan 2 take over the world!!!! Nas killed that joint.

  • Put it on 240p for old school experience

  • Nas' raps should be locked in a cell it ai'nt hard ta tell.

  • brilliant

  • Old NAs was the best. Think the Bling culture made him mediocre

  • he look more like Pac at 0:37

  • garbage comments hurt blunted & beer soaked brain.

  • Bullshit radio music, this is good music.

  • I've always thought Nas looked like Pac at 0:32, anyone else see the resemblance?

  • god damn the man's lyrics is just...just...owwww can't explain it! i love Nas 4ever!!

  • Michael Jackson in tha house and shit.........Damn good track !

  • These were the days...Nas, Keith Murray, Gang Starr, De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest....the list goes on and on. These cats now days couldn't make an album like illmatic even with all their ghost writers.

  • dude...

  • Who now a dayz got lyrics like this!? Not even Jay-Z can or could see Nas in his prime or now!

  • from the spliff that I lift and inhale....

  • he is so cute

  • truly classic shit.what more we wanted back then.fuck nowadays trashraper.not talking about nothing serious.

  • This is true rap. That bullshit rap out there now gives a bad rep to this.

  • @4everscary Fuck off!! I don't see this song in particular is better than any Lupe song out now...... Your just suffering from nostalgia

  • @KnokomistKnight I'm sorry, but this song in my opinion is so much better than the bullshit out on the radio now. I'm not dissing Lupe. His songs are great too, but I love Nas.

  • "i leave u froze like herron in ur nose" classic hip hop.. this shit will crush what some think is pop'n out here in 2011... hip hop died in the 90's

  • Nas is a ledg.

  • classic all the way.I still listen to it.

  • Nas Is iLLest .

  • thank god im not deaf

  • No use bitching about how rap sucks now a days, theres still classic tracks coming out every fucking month. Support the new artists that are making good music instead of ripping on the commercial ones.

  • 4 people cant tell nas from a college professor. all they know is that he is that guy that says big words they cant relate to.

  • I remember watching this over and over and tupacs "I get around" video, This was and still is like the best lyrical song of all time!!!!!!!!

  • some albums changed Hip Hop,,,this is in the top 5.....

  • Old school Hip Hop Mix --> /watch?v=RG9UCp8ndZA <--

  • Timeless classic. Nas's best work. I never understood why so many "rappers" want to be corny and do commercial shit, and on top of that copy each other.

  • what? this should be at 5,009,654 views instead of just 73,659 man hip hop's in a fuck up state of mind nowadays

  • It's crazy how this song came out in '91 and the album came out in '94...Nas never really needed to make albums all his singles are classics.

  • @galith levy

  • @WigTuts and i still listen to old school alot more than todays shit..anyways like i said its always somebody to hate on somebody if u dont like his style oh well..but to dare sit here and say lil wayne dont have bars and never did...u r a hater..is what it is. probably wanna be like him lol

  • @BigMoneyBags

Fair enough if you listen to more old school but you can't seriously say Lil Wayne "have" bars.. he just uses a shitload of similies it's boring to listen to. Want to hear some of his lyrics?

"These boys don't know paper like I know paper, nigga I'm still on 2004 paper, I'm tryin to get some more paper I ain't tryin to die with no paper"

He rhymed paper 5 times in a row? Nice.

  • I don't bump Nas but this song is a klassic!

  • this is emcee-ing. not rapping.

  • this is hip hop not rap.

  • this shyyt is classic! the throwback 4 real!

  • NaS, Where the hell are ya when we need'ya man!! This album got me LIVE in '94, especially when rap really got me lit up from back in '92 (hotness in NAACP socials [y'all don't know nuthin' bout that unless y'all been there]). Anyways, Nas was an undisputed champ when Illmatic came out with no other artist that was even necessary to lay down any added vocals on his tracks.

Now THAT was a TRUE 'Blueprint' in rap!

  • Berlin runs this sh#t!! Nord Nord Muzikk-wo die killer hangen.

  • @Didac1111 Berlin doesnt run shit

  • @Joey121lol hahaha

  • @ralphmerced - When rap was just NY, most folks outside of NY complained about how wack the music was except for a handful of folks. To say Wayne aint' a lyricist shows me you know nothing about hiphop. You even named Missy Elliott (who ain't from NY, she is from VA - the south) and the LOX. Hell naah. The Lost Boyz, ha ha. I like MOP though. I like Ghostface. But the south got this on lock because we universal
