Ось вона - сила української народної пісні. Навіть фронсам подобається) Про те, Даха Браха - це яскрава обробка справжнього фолку, як, наприклад, обробка гуртом Apocalptica класичної музиці. Фолк-перформанс, як де хто виразився. Мені дуже подобається, хоч я й розумію усю нескладність тексту, будить щось таке дрімуче у загадковій слов'янской души. Цікаво було б дізнатися, про що співається у піснях гельскою мовою, що також мені подобаються)

I became addicted to this group. Their interpretation reaches the deepest in human subconscious... Archetypal - as righteously noticed thomasgingrcat... Such things would be unthinkable in Ukraine under the Soviets: even in Russia, such experimentation with people's heritage was strictly dosed (Pokrovsky's group), and for a reason : not to stir any other republic, especially Ukraine, for searching of its identity.

as my mom is half bulgarian maybe it's my heritage that makes me adore that music, i don't know. but i find bulgarian folk songs marvellous - some pieces by "the mystery of bulgarian voices" like "pilentse pe" and "ergen deda" are impossible to top.

i even learned a little bulgarian after i heard "pilentse pe", and maybe someone will learn a bit ukrainian after he/she hears Dakha's music.
