  • awesome video, good job.

  • Ouch, poor crabs lol

  • They are cute.

  • u dont like crab mustard

  • Hmmm they dont seem as aggressive as the blue crabs here in south tx. Miss eating dungeness when I used to live in the San Fran bay area. Its been awhile since I've been crabbing and there is not alot to catch, plus buying them is getting pretty pricey!

  • @vash241987 Maybe the water is colder here?

  • yall caught the aliens on Apollo 18

  • Thanks for the nice comment. Cheers'

  • THIS... is responsible fishing. God bless you, may your traps always be full!

  • theses ones arent even big liek the ones i ate lol. my dad had bought me 4 of the legs at the store, knuckle and all and i could only eat 2. they have a shitton of meat in their knuckles and there meat has a more different texture in your mouth, like light sand paper in your mouth but very faint lol.

  • Wow. I'd loved to do this.

  • I LOVE red rock crabs .. tasty goodness

  • This vid was shot out of Sidney but there is fishing like this from Pt. Renfrew all the way around Victoria if you know where to look.

  • hey i was wondering what part of vancouver island you fish off of? i live in nanimo and we sjut fish off the warf but iv never seen crabs that big before! i barely ever even see a legar dungeoness

  • Awesome vid, thanks for the info.

  • two thumbs up, nice you dispatched them so quickly instead of steaming them alive.

  • I've tried it like that, If you are cooking lots of crab at one time whole crabs take up to much room in the pot. Too much cooking time. Also, it leaves a lot more stinky garbage to get rid of later. I have found no difference in the flavor either by the way.

    Cheers'

  • Man, it's better to boil it whole. Don't break it like that. All the juices are lost and those juices when boiled flavor the meat and keep the meat moist and tender. I know I'm asian, all I eat is crabs and I know my shit.

  • hey buster, I watched a lot of crappy crabbing videos before I came across this one. Thanks so much for posting eh!

  • @nrhbmw Thank-you. We had a lot of fun that day.

  • Watch carefully how i handle them. Always have a healthy respect for the business end!

  • How come it's not pinching you

  • @cocroach8 They're arms can't reach touch it cause of the arm socket limitation

  • I like it that you throw back the red rock crab and the molted and old dungeness crab, I think that is very sporty.

  • @noyopram Cheers'
