Thats about right with price..there some cheaper out there but they have universal piping and other crap that you really dont wanna mess..the kit for mine cost me about $1,400 and my buddy and I installed it our selves so it came out to about $2,600 total with the other upgrades...fuel injectors and tuning..good luck with yours

GSX's and GST crank walk to much, 420A's are perfect power plants, can handle up to 300 horsepower on stock internals and their 4 bolt mains, 420A's ftw idk why Dodge didnt turbo these motors from the getgo their alot better than the 165 TURBOED gsx gst motors and the 420A's have 140 horse power N/A u do the math

Locked up rear diff, body damage, but i'd rather build it myself. Vids in a few months as long as no other problems come up,(which is impossible w/a DSM, its a love hate relationship) When they run right, they own, but its a lot of tinkering to keep em' runnin right...

Neon motor... its been in everything from avenger/eclipse neon etc. Nothing special. Unless you love modding from the ground up (nice work OP) I'd start with the 4g63 in a GST/TSI
Ok, I have to ask, what turbo setup you have going on under there? I like the looks of it, the piping doesn't come back up over the engine like most 420A turbos do. If you could shoot me a list of the piping, turbo, exhaust mani, and front mount that would be great.
do you have and fuel cut defender (FCD) or missing link? Chances are you MAP sensor is seeing boost and making the car hit FUEL CUT. also If you only have a 12:1 FMU 8-9 psi is the max that can deliver fuel for properly. U need a Mega Squirt Dude. I have a Full MegaSquirt KIT with an old IBM laptop for sale for $500 shipped. That MS will deliver the Proper Fuel to all Cylinders and give you a way to tune ur engine Via Laptop Comp!

you can order EVERYTHING you need for a 420A engine turbo at Hahn Racecraft...just google it for the site...you can order stage 1 turbo kit or a stage 2 turbo kit which brings you up to this cars power at 275HP 8 PSI and yeah the kits come with EVERYTHING you need so it would be the best way to go after stage 2 you will need to do internal mods such as changing pistons and rings and what not
man you dont need to upgrade ur internals with the hahn racecraft stage 1 or 2 turbo kit on the 420a. it does com with EVERYTHING you need to get u to at least 250 whp at a safe 8 psi on the 420a. jus go to turbokits . com and look at HRC for the kit. its around 3500 bucks and comes with everything u need to unleesh ur 420

im not sure what kit he has, but by the looks of it i think he's got on the drift kit front bumper, which by it self is about the same price as those other cheap as kits, so if u don't got a lot of dough u might wanna consider another kit.

kick ass car man. i think you meant to say 4.6 mustang. they stopped the 5.0 in 1995. = ) just to be safe forged pistons and connecting rods wouldn't hurt. it would run you a couple grand but you could run the boost unbelievably high if you got the right fuel management system, clutch, etc. once i get enough money, thats what i am going to do. i would list my plans but it would take to long.

I've got those reverse glow gauges and the projectors. I wish I had a 6-bolt in my Gst.. but the 7-bolt does the damn thang. Very clean for a GS(turbo). Much props! Its all about the 2G.

No, the 4G63T swap costs a lot of money to make it even fit into the engine bay of a NT. Google it and you will find out. He did the right thing by turboing his 420a, costs a lot less and makes a great deal of power!
No man a 4G63T swap is way too much money and a lot of work. You have to replace everything. Not worth it. If you want that motor sell your N/T and buy a 4G63T. The 420A motors with the right set up can make a lot of power but it will never make what the 4G63T motor will do.
Plus it will cost you a lot to fix up a 420A right but can be done. I have a 97 Avenger with a 420A in it and plan on doing some motor work to it in the future. If you turbo a 420A you can run up to 8psi MAX. That will give you around 275hp with all stock internals and exhaust. If you want to run more boost you have to completely redo your motor.

Lol...its no secret, you get a turbo manifold...a turbo...oil lines...a downpipe...a couple fuel mods...install...and DICE...just like any other car.

you can order EVERYTHING you need for a 420A engine turbo at Hahn Racecraft...just google it for the site...you can order stage 1 turbo kit or a stage 2 turbo kit which brings you up to this cars power at 275HP 8 PSI and yeah the kits come with EVERYTHING you need so it would be the best way to go after stage 2 you will need to do internal mods such as changing pistons and rings and what not

man you dont need to upgrade ur internals with the hahn racecraft stage 1 or 2 turbo kit on the 420a. it does com with EVERYTHING you need to get u to at least 250 whp at a safe 8 psi on the 420a. jus go to turbokits . com and look at HRC for the kit. its around 3500 bucks and comes with everything u need to unleesh ur 420

yeah thats what I said...stage 1 and 2 don't need mods internal...I am getting a stage 2 kit eventually lol would be fun but for now I'm stuck with my 420A but who cares...i got a talon also which has the 4G63T in so its all good....would swap engines but to much work lol

hey jeff99gs can u help me out men?? i got a red eclipse gs 1999 dohc 420a engine all stock i just changed the air intake for a cold air intake system but i wanna upgrad my car with a turbo t3/t4 .60 a/r and it only have the turbo manifold the wastegate and the oil feed line but i dont really know how to do it can u help me out?? do i need any other parts like intercooler and piping kit and th b.o.v. or how did u put ur turbo?? help me out men

Hey man, i got a couple questions for you. God knows you get lot like this but hey. I was wondering where you got the front end for that eclipse. I've got a 97 talon esi and i was kinda curious. That and maybe where you got the turbo kit too. 420a kits can be a pain to track down.

im not sure what kit he has, but by the looks of it i think he's got on the drift kit front bumper, which by it self is about the same price as those other cheap as kits, so if u don't got a lot of dough u might wanna consider another kit.

I got a 97 eclipse gsx with a bigger turbo but i cant control my boost.I got a boost controller but i cant control it can someone explain how to connect it so i can see if it is right.The boost controller is manual.

kick ass car man. i think you meant to say 4.6 mustang. they stopped the 5.0 in 1995. = ) just to be safe forged pistons and connecting rods wouldn't hurt. it would run you a couple grand but you could run the boost unbelievably high if you got the right fuel management system, clutch, etc. once i get enough money, thats what i am going to do. i would list my plans but it would take to long.

It depends on how much boost your pushing, the stock engine can handle up to 8psi as long as its intercoled and you have a supporting fuel system.

whatever you do, make sure NOT to buy your turbo from ebay.. Im sure your smart enough to know that...but that 1k kit seems tempting..if your going to get a turbo worry about the bottom end work.. pm me if you want more details or go to one of the dsm forums

Nice Ride u got there! What kind of turbokit did u get and how much did u spend on the kit and the installation? I got a 99 GS also and still trying to decide if i should trade it to a GST or GSX or swap my 420A to 4g63 or just turbocharge it. I dont know man! I know it cost more but my mileage is still low and i dont wanna pay another car-note.

I've got those reverse glow gauges and the projectors. I wish I had a 6-bolt in my Gst.. but the 7-bolt does the damn thang. Very clean for a GS(turbo). Much props! Its all about the 2G.

No, the 4G63T swap costs a lot of money to make it even fit into the engine bay of a NT. Google it and you will find out. He did the right thing by turboing his 420a, costs a lot less and makes a great deal of power!

No man a 4G63T swap is way too much money and a lot of work. You have to replace everything. Not worth it. If you want that motor sell your N/T and buy a 4G63T. The 420A motors with the right set up can make a lot of power but it will never make what the 4G63T motor will do.

Plus it will cost you a lot to fix up a 420A right but can be done. I have a 97 Avenger with a 420A in it and plan on doing some motor work to it in the future. If you turbo a 420A you can run up to 8psi MAX. That will give you around 275hp with all stock internals and exhaust. If you want to run more boost you have to completely redo your motor.
