  • put Styrofoam in gas then light on fire.

  • What happens to the styrofoam after it melts? It looks like it turns into glue.

  • makes home made napalm!!!

  • works with gas too. Poor mans napalm.

  • somones gets off with melting foam.

  • does he realise this makes something along the lines of napalm

  • Who would've thought that a clear liquid like you could destroy my beautiful white poofyness?! What a world! What a World!!

  • so excited, but what can we use this mixed of for?

  • Alien acid blood.

  • are you a smoker?

  • All day baby , All fucking day

  • Excerpt from the description

The Acetone is not actually "dissolving" the Styrofoam. Here is what is happing. When styrofoam is placed in acetone, the long polymer strands are DISSOLVED

    Definition fail

    still cool video

  • yay for destroying the ozone so you can have a youtube video

  • Just add some gasoline and you've got yourself, some Napalm!

  • Dissolve MOAR!

  • step one: mix gasoline with the acetone, about 50/50.

Step two: pour the mixture into a large container.

step three: crumple up half a piece of paper and saturate it heavily in acetone, gasoline, or alcohol.

Step four: stick a thick toothpick through the paper, and stick the other end innto the top of a block of styrofoam.

step five: light the paper and set the bottom of the block in the container of gasoline and acetone.

step six: Run like fucking fuck because you just lit a napalm bomb.

  • Styrofoam.rar :D

  • and why would i do this? what ae the applications for crafting? or is it just a chemistry demonstration?

  • I bet this is as satisfying as popping bubble wrap :D

  • "I'm melting... melting... ooooh what a world, what a world...."

  • Add diesel/gas and you have napalm. hf kids. I did.

  • Well the upside of this is that it won't kill you slowly.

  • Comment removed

  • i'm a styrofoam, and personally i find this video offensive.

  • fresh air? ventilation?

  • the cool thing is this is only part of the ingredients of napalm. :)

  • You can do this with gasoline aswell, makes a paste after awhile that burns like cheap napalm.

  • reminds me of the end of terminator 2

  • on the first step to making napalm, idiot

  • Gasoline does the same thing and its cheaper... ewww ewww and it makes napalm.

  • i sure hope that that styrofoam didnt have feelings......it was squeeling :) :)

  • This is exactly the same as when I spit in my cotton candy!

  • now drink it

  • SCIENCE

  • its hours of entertainment

  • Murderer!

  • napalm

  • 50,000 views to watch someone melt stuff with chemicals? seriously?

  • I normally just do it with gasoline.

  • WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW, styrofoam?

  • The end is the best :D Helper: me

    Special thanks to: ME!!!!

  • For it to work best, be sure to inhale the fumes...stand over it and breathe deep!

  • What use would the leftover residue have?

  • OMG

  • shouldnt you have gloves on?

  • Thank you for the ideas you just gave me! :)

  • gasoline does the same thing...

  • @tkcypruss07 Home made napalm, oh yeah! :)

  • Looks Fun

  • try with your mam!!

  • Another name for this is napalm. Try gasoline instead of acetone.

  • "this is styrophome" really? i thought it was a pony.

  • Isn't this how you make napalm? Doesn't the substance burn for like forever?

  • I tried putting some polystyrene in nail polish remover, which contains acetone, and it had absolutely zero effect on the polystyrene. What's up with that?

  • @m415mike is it atleast 95% acetone?

  • @ferencproject I guess not. I decided to take a more effective route and just purchased pure acetone from Lowe's.

  • Acetone just got dinner

  • Why the fuck are you doing this?

  • IM MELTING!

  • can you desolve youre grany in there ????? :-O

  • I'm wondering if styrofoam and acetone is what they used to create the rapidly dissolving deck plates in the original Alien movie. Looks similar.

  • just like the titanic slow and fun!

    R.I.P TITANIC

  • lol full acetone will strip all the lining out of your nose, i know, ive dont it before.

  • Is this why the Titanic sunk?

  • thats how you make napalm and you can use petrol aswell

  • i would do this all day long...

  • Try to set it on fire, its like napalm, but i think they use gasoline for napalm

  • It's a styro shredder :)

  • teleport

  • haha it looks like a paper shredder

  • But the real question is...will it blend?

  • @camronfritz WHEW! Styrofoam smoke, don't breathe this!

  • light it on fire now

  • If the video is not liked, is guilty only of Barrett....... :-D

  • dont smell this its packing fumes

  • @18pendulum No, its acetone is what you smelling, not the styrofoam.

  • Don't smell this!

    reminds me somehow of lava

  • Happing

  • this is like the gasoline styrofoam so called crude form of napalm

  • This is why you should buy non-acetone nail polish.

  • Can you mould this into a hard plastic?

  • This is where bad Styrofoam that doesn't protect my special vase goes to die.

  • u have a cool name . i would call you 50 cal

  • WHAT IS THE POLYSTYRENE RESIDUE GOOD FOR PLEASE?

  • coolest video on youtube. ever

  • i'll give you $5 to drink it

  • Barrett, what A dumb fucking name.

  • what happens if you burn the result?

  • @emptyglo basically, napalm

  • @emptyglo i just done this and burned what was left in my sink for the shits n gigs... not a good idea. at. all.

  • okay..... now what????

  • acetone is also a good cleaner i clean my hands with it all the time

  • @2553shean

Ethanol + lighter works much better :P

  • @2553shean i guess you're right but its not good for your skin

  • @2553shean My grampa worked with large vats of acetone before it was known to be carcinogenic and now my brother and I have chest deformities because of it.

  • Like So yea I placed my acetone in a styrofoam cup with a lid on top and stored it in the cabinet. The next morning I woke up and the acetone had left a ring on the shelf where it had evaporated. I so thought it was magic. I like told every1. They like looked at me crazy. I dont kno y. Probably bcuz they new as well as I did that there must have been some sort of magic involved. Also I found what appeared to b plastic stuck too the shelves. Weird cuz I didnt have any plastic in the cabinet :O

  • @laositaboricua lol funny joke. its a joke right...............

  • @WeirdoMikey2T this is real

  • @TheFunyvideos i was replying to laositaboricua

  • Everything from bareer

  • Barrett

  • ITS LIKE COTTEN CANDY AND WATER LOL !

  • @mrAwsome284 it tastes Like glassssss((((((((((((

  • @mrAwsome284 it tastes Like glassssss((((((((((((:

  • this is how i get rid of styrofoam cups :)

  • Can you then re-heat the syrofoam to then expand it into another mould form? at what temp does it do this?

  • @rent2ownnz room tempurature im pretty sure. its a chemical reaction so i dont think you could reuse the styrofoam after.
