Man, the more I watch this band's live performances the less I like them. They just cannot replicate the vocals from their albums AT ALL.

I guess some bands are just not cut out for live gigs. Although I will say their guitar and drum work is still top notch live.

watching videos on youtube and being at the concert is so much different. When you're in the crowd, getting pushed against everyone else in a mosh pit, your yelling out the lyrics yourself and dont register the bands lyrics as much. Also, for the most part, they're on the right pitch for vocals, and the instrumentals are dead on

I'd love to see Mastodon in a smaller venue, it's great fun in the arenas, but smaller venues usually means you're so close to the band that they sweat on you. :)
