i used to do something very similar (not with dc emu... but psx emu) and i even had what looks like the EXACT same trinitrons!!! one was a GDM 22" (sun) with remote and the other i can't recall.
The whole image of the game is visible. The trick is to try to look at the two images and put them togther as if they were one, because it really is one image, just two monitors.
I know what you're saying though, It drives me nuts with FPS games. Platformers for whatever reason, I have no problem playing in this manner
I haven't tried running an emulator with an emulator, I'll look into it.
However it might be eaiser for me to run a PS1 emulator directly, although I am not sure how the borders will look, since I'm not sure if a PS1 emulator allows extra geometery to be drawn, so there might be empty space on anything past 4:3.
I had this problem with other Dreamcast games, Sonic Adventure 2 supported the extra geometery the best.
ahh i see, but that totally different, ur running it from an emulator, of course one is able to up the geometery and have it split between two screens.
i thought it was from the actual console itself, which would have been cool :D
I do know that other consoles can do this though. The disadvantage to doing it that way is you need multiple consoles and multiple copies of the game.
There probably is a way to make a dreamcast do this, but the framerate would likely be too low to play.
so an emulator is a nice alternative, especially when it comes to simplifying gaming machines
It's an emulator running from a PC. It's pretty simple. Just get two monitors and a video card with dual outputs and configure the emulator to run across both monitors.
my dream setup <3

Slice those cases apart, so you can actually see the middle of the picture like it was one.

Doing that cuts out the bid of the picture you actually need.
