Clark was the only F1 driver in the same class as Juan Manuel Fangio. Not in a class by himself but it sure didn't take long to call the roll in his class.
I was lucky to live through the Jim Clark era. (One of my treasured posessions is his first mention in Mortor Sport magazine - It's not for sale). No one came (or comes) close. I'm too young to remember Nuvolari but he would be close. When they made Jimmy they broke the mould.
The best of the best, along with Nuvolari and Fangio. Thank you for posting this tribute to this remarkably talented driver. There's been no-one since who comes close, with the possible exception of Senna.
The greatest driver ever. It's a shame that my generation are generally unaware of who he was, they only go as far back as Senna or Schumacher when thinking about the greats, Clark though was in a league all of his own, plus he never resorted to the dirty tactics of Senna and Schumacher, he obviously couldn't back in those days, because of the danger, but we will never see the likes of Jimmy Clark ever again, simply superb!
25 wins in F1 from only 73 starts, F1 champ 63 and 65 but he was even bettter than this. 1964 saloon car champ. indie winner 1965 etc, Should of won 2 other F1 championships 62 and 64. R.I.P Jim

@luisolf Aquilo não é saia. É um traje escocês...porque o Jim era escocês do interior.
