You guys get your facts straight. She did not lip sync during 98% of the performance. The only part where she lip synced was when she was in the audience. The sound technicians worried that she was in the audience too long, so the back-up soundtrack kicked in during that time. However, all the instruments were pre-recorded. Due to technical issues, most instrumental voices at Superbowl are pre-recorded except classical guitar performances (ex. Bruce Springsteen).

Yep its a lipsync...the networks require this when you see it cause they don't want vocal slip ups to happen live. Pretty sure the artist would rather not lipsync cause it looks really bad on them if they don't do it 100% perfect. She still rocks either way.

I think it´s a last minute action the ingeniers take when one artist leaves the stage and they can´t get everything ready for the next act on time. They do it over the commercials so they only have like 10 minutes to change rigs. Shania is professional, I think she just got the shit end of the stick during superbowl, that´s all.

Actually, the day after she appeared on Leno and said due to the size of the stadium the music yes, she was singing, but also it was pumped.

If you listen closely you'll hear kind of an echo because she's singing along with the pumped music. She rocks!!!
