You can't have a reenactment without Confederates. Which side we fight on for reenactments has nothing to do with what we believe about slavery and that stuff.
@OneSkiWonder Uh, okay. Thank you for that. I never insinuated that the reenactors are raving racists or anything, and what I am doing in this video is "acting", but thank you anyway.
I got a giggle out of it, and it was my dog tent he was "sleeping" in. Some ground was too hard, some too soft, but under my canvas was j-u-u-u-s-t right. I slept well there, too. (BTW, bad form to enter a tent without permission. Personal belongings there. People tend to get suspicious.) My only question is, "Where did you get that jacket!?" :()
Oh, hey man! Glad you found this video! I do apologize for the tent thing, I probably should have asked for permission, even if I was in there for leterally less than 20 seconds, but that was a little rude of me. Anyway, glad you liked the video!
As for the jacket, it was at goodwill for about 3 bucks. I know, right?? That is a crazy good price!
You may think that this video is funny, but I found it pointless. Are you trying to play "Flat Stanley" or what? I found your attitude rude. I was there, and I saw you go into that tent. You DO NOT enter a reenactor's tent without permission. I also found your chalkboard scribblings rude. I think our people need to teach you some rules of etiquette.
If you ask me, you seem to be the only one who is offended. Most of the people involved in this video seem to get a kick out of it (as displayed in the comments). But regardless, I am sorry I offended you. Don't expect to see me around there anymore, then.
I was under the impression that these reenactments are supposed to be fun and interactive ways for people to learn and experience something new. I think that you are taking things far to seriously, and should try to appreciate reubnick's participation and good humor.
Talk about rude, you made an account just to write a disapproving and nit-picky comment.
Yep come out to the Wade House -- if you dare! You may think you're quite the smart fellow, but you ran into a whole company of gentlemen that make their living at being 'smart' - and this time you met your match and found yourself in a tight spot! But you ran away to fight another day; perhaps?
I was one of those confederates too. See your surrounded again. By the way the "reb with the ceegar" is the same one you referred to as the "jerk who looked like Teddy Roosevelt". :>)
Oh wow, I was just waiting for something ... horribly indecent to happen to those hoop skirt ladies toward the beginning (with that saucy young Reubnick following them around), but then I came to my senses and decided to stop worrying! 5/5.
Hey Reubnick, as one of the rebs that had you surrounded I just want to say thanks for coming out and supporting old falls village! Come see us again at Wade House in Greenbush WI Sept 26-27.....if you dare....
Abe is a great guy. He was even in a video "A Conversation with Abraham Lincoln" a few years back. As the editor of the DVD, I thought you may be interested in a copy. - The Reb with the ceegar.
Maybe you should get a gray uniform. Good video Reuben, in fact excellent. Your editing on the part when you were surrounded was TERRIFIC. You are most talented. ***** for sure.

@Reubnick You were writing on the chalk board that confederates suck.

@OneSkiWonder I was also acting for this video. Please, don't take that personally.

Another one!?! How are you crazy confederates finding this so fast!
And by Ceegar, I take it you mean "cigar"?

You think you're the only spy out there?

Reubnick I thought your video was pretty damn funny. You SHOULD come out to the Wade House I think you'd enjoy it.

Haha. I am many things, and I may be saucy, but I would never harrass a hoopskirt lady. I am a gentleman.

Amazing. We don't have these in Canada. Mostly 'cause we didn't have a civil war. But whatevs.
