And the people who dig that music will always listen to it.....And why the fuck are you hating on other music genres? You dont need to insult or humiliate other kinds of music just because you are Hard rocker or metalhead or punkhead.... Let other people listen to their music and you listen to yours!

  • @hogibear96 Your mom sounds like a really cool woman. Keep gettin your music from her.

  • Comment removed

  • I keep getting all these comments in my email and it sounds like you guys are getting upset with me. I was just making my feelings felt that, to me, music has changed for the worse in the early 21st century, and unfortunately, I don't see it getting better any time soon.

  • @ricjames1970 hopefully it will

  • Allow me to clear this up. Regarding my "top comment", I was merely stating that rock 'n roll will "probably" never undergo the same change that bands like these guys brought because, from what I've heard, music today doesn't have that passion. That doesn't mean there isn't hope, though. Believe me, I would love to see some new bands come up out of nowhere and make a change. And, I wasn't saying that all young kids wouldn't discover this music (althuogh now I realize that's how it came across).

  • andrew wood had an excelent voice. R.I.P.

  • Im 15 and this is one of my favorite bands.

  • @TadLocustDIY

    Do you want a cockie?

  • @TadLocustDIY feel the same, but im 12

  • this song is powerful and it has amazing lyrics. if only MLB had made just one more album...andrew wood had a special charisma that is hard to come by. and he was just a beautiful person apparently.

  • I'm not a pop slave. I'm not a fake rap poser.

    I'm not a trender.

    I'm not a mainstream sheep.

God bestowed great music, and I found it in 90s grunge.

I may not have grown up on this, but I'll damn as hell keep good music alive.

  • @Sharingan6277 well...the 'good music' is a pretty subjective deal...i mean, some classical music lover would say this is shit, or some jazzist would laught of this...so lets just listen to this peacefully without saying 'OH, THIS IS GOOD MUSIC! RAP/POP/HIPHOP/MAINSTREAM IS SHIT!"

  • @Sharingan6277

    Hipster much?

  • @ghettsulfer

    LOL not really.

I'm just a true music listener (who likes most genres), that values the true concept of music which is artistry.

  • @Sharingan6277 True, true. But the mainstream comment.. lots of great bands of (most genres) had mainstream songs.

  • @ghettsulfer

But mainstream used to be good.

  • @Sharingan6277 Im at the same position as you dude :)

  • @SodaPopDumb

    Affirmative good sir!

  • @Sharingan6277 God isn't real dumbass!

  • @coreystewart55

    You mean Jimi Hendrix?

    I beg to differ...

  • @coreystewart55 im getting tired of this noone can say if he exists or not none of can really prove anything its a pointless argument

  • @coreystewart55

Neither are you, you frickin' moron.

  • this is glam

  • @greggynite

    Wrooooooong

its Love Rock, Mr Wood said so himself.

  • @CCRockit this is glam love rock then, ;)

  • ncca football baby

  • 1 Bieber fan

  • 1 dislike ? Who the fuck is this fucking dude ?

  • @randomtobeing Some wank who doesn't deserve the attention.

  • @randomtobeing willing to hear your side of contrary to @ricjames1970

  • @randomtobeing he isnt a dude, he must be a gangsta rapper :P

  • Labels...'grunge', 'metal', 'hairbands', etc. MLB and its line-up was the quintessential transition band between the 80's and the 90's. They were true to their roots - ROCK 'N ROLL. Andrew Wood was a talented artist, as were Stone, Jeff and the crew. You either 'get it', or you don't. How can anyone not appreciate the artistry and raw talent that produced this song, 'Bone China', 'Star Dog Champion'? Drug abuse took Andrew from us, then Kurt and Layne...alphabet agency heroin... WAKE UP!!!

  • ...what I was getting to is that they were rushed into the studio...(london bridge) which was not as great 'then' as it is now.

they had no time to 'perfect' their sound or 'experiment' in the studio like many bands do now. they recorded in a rush (basically sounding just as they did in the bars and venues) and then hit the road on concert tours.

we are fortunate to have this 'TRUE' sound from an 'original' band from that era...or 'in-between' era for that matter. they were simply pioneers

  • Ok dudes...I'm not feelin the 'Love" here.

voicestheband2...I ''love' your passion for this music...I feel it too. Nuf said..

for bucktheusa...you ARE entitled to your opinion but why in the hell do you even care if you think 'this band sucks ass'??? why even comment? why are you here listening to it?

what you apperently have NO idea about is that these guys recorded in basically warehouses...with no 'optimum' equipment for that time...they did not get the 'big studio' sound. continued...

  • all those people taking shit about MLB are mostly idiots, and they don't understand what real music is all about and there probably Justin Beaver or jay-z fans. and don't understand how this music moves people. MLB is and will always be one of the best rock bands of all time and some day the masses will realize this and give them the respect they deserve.

  • Let's face it. Unless you were PART of the Seattle music you wouldn't even know who these guys were until just a few years ago and YOUTUBE. I picked up on all that PJ, SG, Nirvana etc. from CORPORATE RADIO like most of us did.

I love all of it. I got here the same as you after listening to some Sound Garden videos.

I'm sure the dude was fun as fuck to hang out with and it sucks he died, but my point was OPEN YOUR FREAKIN EARS BRO. IT'S HAIRBAND! WTF?

Show me the "grunge"! Where is it?

  • I'm sorry, R.I.P but this band sucks ass. I have to be honest.

I love all the Seatle bands, but this sounds like a random GNR vocal hairband with no clear direction wtf they were doing. (Throwbacks to Montely Crew and Loverboy) Granted surviving members went on to become this and that, but these guys couldn't survive outside the local scene with this malarchy. I know I shouldn't talk shit about the dead but he's not Jesus and there's no great mystery to be found in this garbage. So sue me.

  • @bucktheusa No one gives a fuck about your opinion ,dumbass!MLB is the FUCKING king of grunge.Just shut the hell up if u don't like it...Asshole!!!

  • Obviously you do care.

It's called comments. No one has to agree.

The point is if you never knew the "OMFG they started GRUNGE!" story and you heard this shit you'd think it sucks too.

I give every band a fair shake but this is definitely NOT "grunge" by any stretch of the ear.

It helped influence it. I do give all of you props though for at least liking rock these days.

I'm just saying if you didn't know who they were you wouldn't force yourself into such torture.

  • Comment removed

  • @bucktheusa your an idiot

  • @bucktheusa and you have no idea what your talking about check your dumass

  • @corptkm - We are looking to release 21 years after the death of Andrew Wood who was a very good friend of mine. A video never before seen footage live in concert, along with a few songs never heard before as a 2 DVD/CD set. I'm sure most who love MLB will enjoy this video. However we would like to have a response from you people if you would be willing to purchase a video of such. Please post your opinion here if you are interested. Thank you

  • @corptkm i'd pick one up, i knew andy also,thanks

  • @JetsRockinDaddy

New Mother love Bone - Live Movie release coming soon. Go to Facebook and type in: Mother Love Bone Live and discuss the new video!

  • Why am I the only one in my family and friends that knows about this band?

  • @CookieMischief8 If so, you should get a new family and new friends!. Not really but introduce them to your friends! The fact that they are not a amazingly popular band is horrid!

  • @MASproductionss That's the problem. My contemporaries are too caught up in today's poop (I purposely misspelled pop). They only appreciate junk like Justin BooBooBear and the Jonas Sisters. They don't listen to anything older than 2008 pretty much. My closest friends however, DO appreciate good music, so they would probably like this. My family isn't really into grunge, but they are familiar with PJ, MLB's sucessor.

  • @CookieMischief8 I consider that lucky. Almost EVERY one of my friends hasnt even heard of grunge. Its sad. The only person familiar with any of the bands i listen to is my mother.

  • @CookieMischief8 'Cause ordinary people suck.

  • who disliked it? @_@

  • @stas11112 Someone with no soul?

  • I'm tripping on this now, foook yeah..!!!!!

  • well some people have heart some have vocal eddie you can wail but andy had soul

  • @akibaforyou and @Boganator4Why compare apples and oranges? I really like Eddies dark baritone, and his roar, but that doesnt make me disrespect Andrew!

  • RIP Andrew Wood... too young. Imagine how big MLB would have become if he had lived. AWESOME stuff.

  • my mom always tells me her stories about how she used to go to all the shows at the off ramp n dive places fer mother love bone and alice in chains (i guess she was actually friends with layne), how she hated pearl jam but vedder told her that she had supercalafragalisticexpealadocious shorts...and then she had me, i ruined her coolness. haha, great stories mom.

  • @blondeeecouture14 dude if your mom was coolenough to hang you got some good genes

  • 80's glam metal vocals and grunge = Mother Love Bone = One of the greatest bands ever

  • for me thats good new music by someone who gets it !!!!

  • It really saddens me to know that the kids of today will pretty much never learn to listen or love this kind of music unless their parents listen(ed) to it because musicians today don't care about music. They just want to get signed to a label and make their money and walk the red carpet and twitter about their pathetic bullshit little lives. What would our lives be like today without these rock 'n roll revolutionaries?

  • @ricjames1970 total agree

  • @ricjames1970 hey man like im 16 and i'm from the netherlands but im just in love with grunge or whatever you will call it , the spirit is still there ...

  • @ricjames1970 Its a carnival...No Musicianship anymore. All acting...

  • @ricjames1970

That's why we need to share it with our kids. :) Music like this never gets old and has no age.

  • @ricjames1970 I'm 15, dig this shit and will be doing a gig covering this song with Chad Smith and Nikkie Sixx in honor of Mike Starr of Alice in Chains!

  • @ricjames1970 Hey, I stumbled upon this on my own, at 16, and without any outside influence

  • @ricjames1970 This is the music that is used in the background of NCAA Football 2006! I know because that's where I found out about this song, and others like Teenage FBI....from current-day video games. ;)

  • @ricjames1970 thats cause you dont know where to look :3 , there is a lot of good music ,"new" music

  • @ricjames1970 I know this is a ridiculously late reply but whatever. I'm 15 years old, doesn't live in the US and listens only to bands such as Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Screaming Trees, Mother Love Bone etc.

    There is still hope :D!

  • @ricjames1970 I'm 13 and I like a lot of older rock music even thought my parents listened to Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen.

  • @ricjames1970 they said the same thing when you were young and are you kidding idk about other genres but rap is filled with people whe went from rags to riches they deserve what they earned.

  • @ricjames1970 wow! you just summed todays musicians perfectly! bands like this would only care if they pleased their fans not how much money their fans put in their pockets! But my mom got me into listening to def leppard when I was 6. but when i was 12 or 13( im 14 now) I started liking Grunge, all on my own:) I listen to Nirvana, alice in chains, Blind Melon, Pearl Jam, soundgarden AND Mother Love Bone! I like classic rock too like Janis Joplin, The Doors, The beatles ,The Rolling stones

  • some people call MTB grunge, some can't accept that... I think what is confusing is that... the guitar work is very grungy but the Wood's vocals are so 80's glam rock... Stone and Jeff's previous band Green River was way more ''grungy'' and of course their band after, Pearl Jam... had this guy Vedder who's golden barritone howl and amazingly poetic lyrics just oozed ''grunge''

  • @Tube23x mate wood was a river's member too so following your logic neither river were a grunge band cause wood's vocals were 80s glam rock

  • @G30rg31415 wrong.... andy wood was lead singer of malfunktion while stone and jeff were in green river.... wood sung for green river? lmao... you tube a green river song... where did this come from? lol

  • @G30rg31415 he never played on Green River..... that was Mark Arm from Mudhoney.

  • @G30rg31415 and just in case im wrong , which i ovbiously think im not, dont begin bitching about it cause i hate people with sand stuck up on their pussies.

peace mate, so good at least you have a lil clue about this great music and like it as well as all of us good listeners.

  • Mother Love Bone was NOT grunge. Green River was more along that style.

  • Comment removed

  • Mother Love Bone was NOT grunge.

  • Such an underrated band...still love them to this day!

  • well that is when i got the NCAA game it rocked the house

  • !!i realized some thing after MTV came out rap and pop has getting more and more popular u know what i think about MTV fuck them all this is the real music MTV must go if rock has any chance at survival past this on all the good music of the 90s and 80s such as motley crue pearl jam metallica mother love bone soundgarden alice in chains

andrew wood R.I.P you are the best singer ever anyone how thinks differently will be killed by random arrows that falling from the sky and will go to hell!!!!

  • @H3LL2ANGEL ...best singer ever? A great voice...yes. But so many great voices out there to say he's the best singer ever.

  • @JahElad your right but his is very good

  • i realized some thing after MTV came out rap and pop has getting more and more popular u know what i think about MTV fuck them all this is the real music MTV must go if rock has any chance at survival past this on all the good music of the 90s and 80s such as motley crue pearl jam metallica mother love bone soundgarden alice in chains godsmake slipknot sixx am and more

  • Nirvana became pretty big after Nevermind..if that hand't ever happened maybe...I'd like their music...that's why I've always been a big fan of Soundgarden and MLB...true grunge.

  • hehe did you forget Neil Young apinst?, that is the godfather of Grunge ;D

  • this song will always be in my top 5

  • whaaaaaattttttt!!!!! this is the first time i'm hearing this shit!! ITS INCREDIBLE!!

  • How can someone who could sing so great be so selfish in taking himself away from us with that poison. I grew up in the 80's and everyone must realize the original shock rock grunge rockers formed in the 70's known as K.I.S.S. It is a real shame that this group couldn't have done more. There sounds sound more like a hair band than grunge anyway!!!!

  • fuckin awesome, sad how he died and we now have Pearl Shit.

  • GnR with more balls

  • I 'm so glad that AIC wrote "Would" that is about Andy Wood.

  • Their name should be the mother of grunge because along with the Melvin's thats what they are.

  • nice, why i never heard nothing of this dude?sound like heaven

  • Am I the only one who thinks this song has some of the sickest bass ever?

  • Thank god I played NCAA Football '06 and was introduced to this song.

  • @Ginga

EA Sports has introduced ALOT of bands to alot of people that may not have heard of them. EA Trax is a pretty good tool for that...

  • @29Texan

    Agreed

  • @29Texan Yup, for me it was Bad Religion. Since then, they've been one of my top favorite bands.

  • @Ginga Haha, me too.

  • @Ginga haha sameways man what a good game with some fuckin good ass songs

  • @Ginga That's how I first heard it too. I had actually never heard MLB before...had heard of them, but never actually heard them. Opened a new door for me.

  • @Ginga That's how I first heard it too. I had actually never heard MLB before...had heard of them, but never actually heard them. Opened a new door for me.

  • @Ginga Don't forget Teenage FBI from Guided by Voices. Lots a great songs on that game!

  • GODDAMN E-HARMONY ADS.

  • the second verse says it all

  • One of my faves song. a lose of amazing talent.. these guys would of and should of been hugh, like Alice in Chains and Nirvana. I hate to admit it but i think that if it wasnt for Andrew Wood passing would Nirvana had got the break they did because when Andrew Wood passed it went quiet and some bands (Alice in Chains for one) werent sure if to carry on, as they were close to Andrew. but thankful they did, and also some other bands came it Pearl Jam, Sound Garden and Temple of the dog..

  • many of the songs of mothers love bone have a glam rock 80 style ,and others have the grunge style of 90

    rare but good convination

    awesome band rip andrew wood

now we have pearl jam but dont forget mothers love bone awesome band
