It's 200% as great as it looks. As long as you can work hard it is the most fun and beneficial places to be. I just recently started here and I've loved every day of it.
Depends on the person. My father pays for my bills. Most people have multiple roommates and they have student loans that take care of living expenses (though like all loans they need to be payed back)
Whoa a robot! Okay, so far I've seen a guy dress up as Cloud, Sephiroth, Vash the Stampede, a Storm Trooper (I think the was starting some kind of charity), and a bunch of guys dress up as anime girls (I'm still trying to drink that out of my head!). Man, I miss going to that school.
Depends on what program you go into but in general, here is a few things anyone can expect.
1. Don't bother looking for a job. You won't have time, and most places specifically avoid hiring full sail students.
2. You WILL have to deal with crappy schedules alot of times. I've delt with a class that runs 5pm to 1am and then the next class starts 8 hours later.
Anything else is really dependent on what degree program you go into.
That is fantastic... slightly thinking of attending Full Sail. Our own robot needs an upgrade from cardboard to composite-something-or-other plus blinky lights...
What school do you go to... Do they have a good 3D art program (I know thats not what its called... but its late and I'm to tired to look it up) I want one of those.......
I attend Full Sail in Winter Park, FL. Good school if you can stand the schedule. I'm taking the Game Development degree program. I honestly can't say how good the other programs are. Digital Arts and Design is probably what you want. That or computer animation.
i want to go for the game development degree, I'm just scouting for good schools. thats a pretty long drive for me tho, I'm up in PA. Do you recommend your school? (just became a SR at my school, so I'm trying to get as much help as i can finding a school -.-) thanks
The school has its fair share of issues, but as far as what they teach you here, you can't really beat it. I know it's a long drive (I drove from MA). The schedule is very rough at times, and it is impossible to hold down a job while attending (all employers have a policy against hiring Full Sail students). But if you can get past that, this is a great school.
lmao......nice...looking to attend full-sail this fall....been wondering if its as awesome as it looks

I got a few.
1. If you play any MMO's, give them up before you start.
2. Budget your free time.
3. DO NOT fall asleep on pointer day in PG1.
4. Program as much and as often as you can.
Do all that and you'll do quite nicely.

good luck, don't party too much, and make art your best friend. you will also lose lots of sleep.
