The most common type of skin psoriasis is plaque psoriasis. The skin is red and covered with grey or silver scales and inflamed. also patches of circular to oval sahaped red plaques that are itchy or burn. Normally the patches are found on the elbows and knees, but may be found on any part of the skin. Psoriasis can be inherited but is not contagious. The American Institute of Advanced Medicine has more information and treatment to eliminate your psoriasis. theaiam.com
There is a big difference between Chin Chin and Garra Rufa.Chin Chin are actually small versions of Tilapia which is a type of Cichlid fish. When they reach about 6cm they can cause to your skin.Garra Rufas are toothless and are totally harmless .Google the 2 fish to see the obvious differences BEFORE going into any fish spa. Good luck bathing in someone else's Skanky water with microscopic pieces of dead/infected skin floating about!
I know lets put our feet in a fish tank where the last person in the water had Verucca's or Psoriasis and the fish were dining on these delicacies when they spat some of the contents into the water.........oh by the way, chin chin can draw blood! fancy bathing your feet in the water some unknown person has bled into? Good luck!
@zena290609 they aint garra rufa fish they are much cheaper chinese "knock offs" called chin chins which when big enough bite. Garra fish cannot bite. btw I keep garra fish
@zena290609 Zena even with pedigree Garra,I really would be careful. its nots the fish its self, which really are great little fish. its the water in which they swim. if I had a bath, would you want to jump in my bath water after me? This is really what you are doing except there happens to be fish in the water. People carry all sorts of skin ailments which have no effect on the fish, but could infect the next person in the water. Get a small fish tank and keep a few, great pets easy to keep.
i didn't think of that, thanks. but also it's like in a swimming pool loads of people go in there. i guess it doesn't matter cos of the chlorine but ah well.
@zena290609 Hi again,You answered your own question Zena. Thats why good swimming pools put Chlorine in the water. Garra swim in un-chlorinated water, hence the risk of catching something nasty from the previous bather. This is a fad and hopefully it will soon fizzle out
chin chin are tilapia aren't they? those look like juvenile tilapias anyway. imagine you can be self sufficient with a tank of those feed them/footspa daily and then when theyre nice and big you can cook em lol
I think those are fake Garra Rufa also known as Chin Chin fish. You can see the original ones in Turkey. Some pictures of the real one can be found on the Aqtropical website
@JadyFortuna Chin Chin and Garra Rufa are both different fish, Chin Chin can actually cause damage to skin when they reach 6cm, As Garra Rufa are toothless unlike Chin Chin.
Just like an outbreak of e.coli in michigan lake. And they claim they are a clean country. Look at the mirror guys before you say that US got pretty good sanitation laws.
I am appalled that this is allowed in the USA. Don't they take into consideration that not only are the fish eating but they are also pooping in that water? Not very sanitary. Since living fish are used no amount of disinfectant can be used in the water or it would kill the fish. Wasn't the last flesh eating virus acquired from unsanitary pedicures enough? Or maybe they put little diapers on those fish to prevent any bacteria from entering the skin through some small nick already present.
....if you had been an intelligent person and done a little research, you would realize that, here in the US, they change out the water between each client. We DO have pretty good sanitation laws and regulations when it comes to salons. Next time, don't start typing on your computer before you get your facts straight.
i do too im only 16 and most people dont understand... jdiddy and annalangella are people who point and stare at people like us who think were creatures who give disease to others when they completely assume that its contagious because they can contact the swollen area, when their fuckin dumb about it, its not contagious, its hereditary, and mostly nothing but a bothersome nusance, and causes lots of self-confidence issues
I've tried this in Penang. It actually tickles quite a bit but they do a very good job nibbling the dead cells. I was too frighten of the fishes and instead of 10 mins worth, I only put my feet in the water for a little over 2 mins but my feet came out smooth!
That is sposed to be really gd for ur feet cus they eat all the dead skin and apparently make ur feet soft. Sounds interesting but i probly wont be able to do it probly tickles to much!
I got plenty of dry skin to feed them, I hope I can take a trip to a fish spa.
