The season we acquired Joe Thornton is a season I will never forget, not because of Joe Thornton- but because of after ~15 years, the San Jose Sharks developed into an elite level hockey team. I thank the San Jose Sharks for an unforgettable season, cup or not. But seriously, bring the Stanley Cup home boys!

To be honest I am very impressed by what the Sharks have been able to accomplish. Not so much in the way of what they have achieved in the NHL on a championship basis, but more along the lines of building a very strong fan base.
The Sharks, in my eyes, are a model franchise when it comes to building a successful, thriving hockey franchise in a so called non hockey market.
Other teams should really take note and copy the Sharks.

For the sake of the NHL & hockey in the US in general I hope that the Sharks have a strong hold there. Winning a Cup would really help you guys make huge strides & really start to build a strong hockey tradition. I hope that happens in SJ

Wings chokes are more noticeable because they are usually the #1 or #2 seed. So every series they lose (only 6 in 10 years) is basically a "choke" since all other teams are below their level.
