@ac98521 Same here, I hane no clue how to make her do anything, are you on the second cycle by any chance? I completed the first cycle with no clue about the dark world, so maybe those who don't unlock it on the first cycle can't unlock it at all.

@ac98521 aha, two minutes later, and I figure it out lol, if you have yet to actualy complete the tutorial level, then you can't fight her I think, so go complete that first, then she will talk, worked on my game (if your on a new cycle like me, no doubt you didn't bother with the intro level lol)

I beat her on Chapter 8-9!! And she only is a dark guide!! She's not in my team!! And when i beat all the enemies on a stage for example1-4!! Dark world comes out and they beat the crap out of me!! So my question... How can i get her on my team??? And how can i avoid entering the dark world!!

@ChimeraGuy4 Gamefaqs has a max stats guide or something that mentions how to unlock each dark world stage. Humanoids cannot be captured, there is no way to put Dark Friday on your team in normal gameplay as far as I know (PS2 version). Gamefaqs (a game info website, yeah!)

@XiPepsiX Well, I used thief tactics to which you get a level 10+ thief with a certain poison ability. Then you pick her up between turns to keep her alive or have a "suicide character" pick up the enemy and hold them for a turn. As you saw myself doing in this video, I kept my thief alive so I could continue to poision this level 100 enemy.

@XiPepsiX Dark World is the point, and after unlocking Dark World by beating this level 100 enemy, you can face upwards of level 80 enemies. I managed to kill the first stage in dark world with my low level characters using a specific strategy I developed which may require certain units or boots equipment, and certainly a thief or two. The results of winning in the dark world this early means you get stronger "higher rank" weapons & equipment faster for your team from the bonus lists. etc

@XiPepsiX You have to push them all and then a message will appear saying "a dark shadow looms" or something like that... then you run around and find the dark girl and talk to her a bunch of times.

@MinhXD123 Each map has a way to unlock the dark world version. Examples are to make a tower of 5+ units or use less than 3 units out during the entire battle etcetc. So you should go to the PS2 version at gamefaqs (website) and look up some guides that mention how to unlock the dark world, maybe maximum stats guide or... guides like those might mention the way to unlock each map. it really sucks having to figure those out for yourself. XP

@3rchoas 0:11 The second button is there, and well, maybe you already pressed it and forgot, try pressing the others and see if a dark shadow looms or not then if not, try this button again. Personally, in another file, I pressed a couple buttons I forgot I pressed hundreds of hours before I pressed the others.

@3rchoas I'm not sure man, first of all, I know that you can press the buttons only after completing all tutorial stages and are in episode 1 or mostly throughout the entire game, I'm unsure about successive cycles however. 2nd cycle and after... Also, during the tournament is another time you cannot find the switches I think.

uh... like I said, try a new game 1st cycle as Adell, get past all the tutorial stages and seek out the switched, that's the only advice I can think of..

Your welcome for the vid, I created it long ago and well I'm still like the only one that did Disgaea 2 on youtube I guess. =) I will return to the game doing a "challenge" and "dark world" sometime in the near to distant future after some other projects.

@XularusXIII It has to be after you finished the tutorial stages and you should be able to talk to her a few times to get her to say stuff.. I think it is doable at any time during the game excluding during the tournament section of the game andthe tutorial battles not being complete very early game.

StoneMonkWisdom, Usually, I am extremely busy with trying to learn about technology and hacking it and stuff so listen. Go to gamefaqs. As soon as you get there go to psp or ps2 section. Now, go to saves section. you will see a list of saves. Pick one near starting but read description.

@zoraroxas Of course those are my characters being extremely low level. I wanted to unlock Dark World as soon as I could so... yeah, there it is, a winning strategy using a thief and "lift tactics" to prevent the thief's demise.

Bosses are immune to status ailments, and also those Puppet type Monsters are also immune. MK-Friday doesn't count as a boss.

Yes, she is higher level then Zenon, however Zenon would still be stronger due to his multipliers that have something to due with his stats or something like that. I'm not sure how those formula's really work for the different characters.

Ahh alright, and the fact that he can't get poisoned either lol. Also since I'm playing on PSP, Magichange helps a lot. And they didn't improve the main story line AI any so none of them can Magichange like they did in Axel Mode.

all boss are immune to ailments? are adell's parents at the castle gates in chapter 12 immune to ailments?

I'm fairly certain that they are immune to status ailments. And the special abilities of each one either block all physical damage or all magical damage, mustn't forget that stuff.

I don't think so, you'll have to resort to using some sort of attack that uses a magically formula, some monsters have special skills that would work if you don't have magic users. Otherwise, Hire a couple Offensive Spellcasters under Rozalin or whatever and after you take out the one weak to physical, put some guys back into your base panel and bring out the magic users, protect the magic users by using your fighter types to create a walll of defence between the target and just blast the enemy.

You know, you could have done it the easier way. Get stronger people from training like

a lv.1000 Fighter in Cycle 4. That's how I got it, Lv6545 Prinny God.(Cousin's file)

Generally, it's not really worth it as she has common equipment you'll eventually get anyway when you upgrade the Shops / or get bonus items from item world.

I think it's a one time deal, the first time you do it and win in your game, you cannot repeat it a second time even on a later cycle.

btw in disgaea 1 the one who killed gets most or all xp along with the team attack if there was any the others even if they damaged more gets little or no xp is it so in this game as well? i hope not i hate it even if it has advantages...

Example of a team attack in Disgaea:

1. Adell (Primary Attacker)

2. Fighter (Team attack join in)

3. Archer (Team attack join in)

So Adell attacks an enemy and a team attack is initiated. Afterwards, the enemy is defeated. The Primary Attacker in a team attack gets 50% of the total earned experience points from the kill. The other 50% is divided between the other team attackers, so for two extra people (Archer and Fighter), they divide the 50% exp equally. 25% exp to Fighter, 25% exp to Archer.

I simply beat it early in the game in episode 1, during the first cycle. Though my levels were low, this battle wasn't impossible.

You unlock maps by beating each in a certain way, Go over to gamefaqs and look at the guides, there is one that displays the method to unlock each map. an example might be moving fewer then 9 spaces total or making a tower of 7 characters.

Let's say you want to unlock stage 1-2, you need to do the following on the normal story stage:

Health is Poison, Poison takes damage equal to 1/5 of an enemies health per turn lasting three turns per 'Health' use. That's like 20% damage to maximum health per turn.

Well, you keep everything you had from the last cycle, levels, items, equipment etc etc. YOu may think of it like the Chrono Triggers New Game+ mode.
