The two Bolds are far slower than my 10 year old Palm Treo. Not impressive.

Pity about Palm. First with so many features we expect as standard now. I laughed so hard the first time I heard a new early smartphone owner squealing "My phone has a touchscreen. It's *so* cool!"

My BlackBerry Torch after 8 months of use has slowed down to about a 4 minute average boot time. Can't wait to get the Torch 2 when it comes out. Out of the box brand new it should load up in just a little over a minute.

@bibmeful i believe it depends on how rich you are, if you are really rich i would go with the 9700 but if you are average th9000 or curve 3g. The 3g is nicer though but it all comes down to preference

I had to enter my blackberry in the comparison. My 8900 booted up at 3:55 in the video. beat the 9650 and 9700!!! so it booted up in 2:59 ish

But you can check up the specs on the upcoming OS update for Blackberry (6.1). RIM is giving its phones, some pretty cool capabilities.

@markajaw It takes a very long time for a reboot, as in taking the battery out and putting it in. If you want to just shut the device down and then turn it back on its like 3 seconds to boot up.
